Your cart is empty. Pu`ili (puili) are traditionally used in love or name chants in the sitting position. Modern hula has adapted pu`ili into standing kahiko and male performances. Our pu`ili are high-quality, hand-carved, and made from natural bamboo. There are 12 to 13 strands on each pu`ili depending on its diameter. The pu`ili are sold in pairs of matching sizes. Unfortunately, due to the cost of manufacturing we are no longer able to produce them in Hawaii however we work with our manufacturer in Laos to produce them at the same performance level quality. We inspect all products before shipping them to insure any items purchases are of the highest quality.

Using it to practice Hawaiian Hula as I did as a much younger person🤭 Important that buyer specifies whether this is for a child or adult. The adult uli ulis are pretty large.

I didn’t think a real Hawaiian implements would have been available at Amazon! But they are great, light but sturdy not thick or heavy. I have recommended them!
