I bought this to cut rain gutters and it does the job well. No idea how long they’d last with regular use, but they did what I needed them to!

They worked great for a couple weeks and went dull on the same job steel framing a basement, hoped they would have lasted longer.

Very happy with this transaction. This seems like a sturdy tool although, it's not one I need daily. Handy to have when I need though! Good value for the price.

I am not a professional metal worker or handy man. I bought these snips for use around my house and expected they could handle that demand. They did. I used them on a rain gutter repair project soon after receiving them and they worked very well. They cut well and were easy to hold and manipulate. If you need a pair of snips for occasional use around the house they should easily handle that. They are built well and may be able to handle more than just occasional use around the house but I did not test them in that use environment.

I don't know how long it will last and it certainly can't cut much more than very lightweight stuff; but I needed exactly this tool to cut the thin metal strips that sweep the floor under doors. I've since learned that most handymen have one in their toolbox too. Mine was cheaper & is a little lighter weight but seems every bit as good.

We recently had the need for a tin snip for a small home repair (cutting screening) but did not have one. Luckily, we had a flooring installer doing work at our house, so we borrowed his. We then decided to buy one for ourselves. We looked at different store websites and finally decided on this one at Amazon, primarily because of cost and good ratings. We received it quickly and were very satisfied with the quality of the tool. Coincidentally, we were able to use it right away on another project. We expect to use it infrequently for home projects, and we know it will do the job.

I tried these out, and they do cut very well. They are well-built, and heavy duty.I have smallish hands, so I some difficulty using the handles, as, when open, they are very wide. However, I 'choked up' on the grip with the finger support by using my middle finger or ring finger in it.This allowed me to get a good grip with some power, and cut pretty well. These are nicely finished, and appear to be a quality tool that will last a long while.
