But none of the brass couplers fit the gage had to take them out attach the hose directly to them it'll be an easy fix just a bit annoying

What I really like about this compression tester is you can easily expand to different adapters that are available from major brand manufacturers and not paying an arm & a leg to pay for the major brand kit.Performance tool products in my experience are generally pretty good. Again decent quality with out the big price

works as advertised and i found out that the hose couplers work with other tool sets as well, meaning that i could connect this meter to an press in adapter for antique motors from another tool set. --remarkable!

This is the exact same set as whats sold at HF (PT is the gray case, HF is the black case). Tips are the same, gauge is the same except for the faceplate and its in a different blow mold case. And they work exactly the same....When using this compression tester it doesn't maintain the gauge pressure/reading. It's impossible to get an accurate reading because of it. Prime example is I was seeing the needle bounce up to 320-360 psi readings with this set but the exact same gauge with a different brand tip with a schrader valve in it showed 400psi across the board (including a cyl that was only hitting 290-310psi max but was actually 380-390psi.).Definitely not as pictured by the sellers (tips appear to have schrader valves). I returned it once I verified it didn't maintain readings. Useless to have 2 sets that don't work like they should.

My new compression tester arrived and there was a problem, I must report tool liquidators handled this problem with five stars. So i am able to porque a new tester and not see a lul in my agreements or work load. Thank you very much.

It works really good, although it doesn't quite work for my application, GMC 6.5 Turbo Diesel. it would likely work on NA 6.2 and 6.5 versions, but the turbo manifold doesn't allow good fitment of the gauge to the glow plug adapter. I haven't been able to verify if the injector adapter will work.

This tool is easy to use an quickly found that i had a leaking head gasket on an air cooled engine. I think the tool is well worth the price i paid for it.

Adapter cable was clogged because it was made incorrectly. Unit also had a leak. So the tool was completely useless. I am sending it back and replacing with a different unit. Very disappointing. I thought the price was fair for what it is. I guess I was wrong and now I will be spending more for something that actuary works.
