Bought it for me and my girls. Tested it. Very loud, the flashlight is nice and bright. You gotta use a little force to pull the ring, it is nice because there is a little chance that it'll accidentally go off. Very satisfied so far. Don't know how long the charge would hold though, but hopefully for a while, comes with a charging cable too.

I walk a lot and although I never had a problem, I decided to get a personal alarm when I heard about a cougar roaming in the neighbourhoods. This device is small, has a very strong flashlight and is rechargeable. I have not needed nor tried the sound which is supposed to be very loud. I have used the flashlight which can be blinding for a moment when shined in the eyes. Now I never leave the house without my alarm, it makes me feel safer.

I needed a new alarm because the valet dropped my keychain and my old one smashed. When I received it, I charged it, although I’m not really sure the charge worked too well. But then I tried it as practice and I could barely pull the pin out. It’s really not all that loud. Not sure anyone would really notice too much. I know I wouldn’t be able to pull the pin out in case of an emergency so I have ordered another product.

We use this product when out walking the dog the noise would be sure to scare off any animal that might come at us. Also used at night to use the light if we fall or something happens. It can be set to strobe of just on. If I see it flashing I know my partner is in trouble somehow. Purchased 3 more for the other members of the family for Christmas.

I wasn't sure about getting a rechargeable unit. I added 2 similar battery powered ones to my kids' lanyards. This one seems noticeably lighter. A good thing if you have a lot of crap on your keyring as I do. Pulled apart the siren alert is loud and annoying (as you should want it). Borderline hurt my ears sitting close to it during the test. The strobe part is also a static flashlight operated with a push button at the back and can be switched to the strobe function without the sound. The brightness of the flashlight is pretty good and could be a decent stand alone EDC flashlight or backup flashlight. The unit came mostly charged. I had to top it off for a short while to get it to the full green light indicator. I like that it comes with an extra full black carabiner for easy attachment/release and to match. My only negative is that the USB-C port is wide open all the time. I would recommend covering it with a small piece of black electrical or duct tape. I drop and leave my keys everywhere (wet, dirt ground+++). If you're like me, add the tape.I was wargaming with my kids on ways to use this device in sketchy/dangerous scenarios and one to consider is if you're hiding and have a possible alternate escape route to quickly detach and throw this unit while your threat is distracted so their attention is directed towards the flashing/loud unit while you try and make your getaway.
