Doesn't fog, it's small but still usable.

First, I very rarely leave reviews, and I really hate leaving negative ones. However, this product was largely disappointing. I really like Pete&Pedro, and since I was in the market for a shower mirror I wanted to give theirs a shot. While the installation was simple and fast and the size is perfect, the “fogless” feature only lasted 3-5 mins. After it fogged and eventually dried, the mirror looked distorted and had some sort of residue across most of the mirror. I’m assuming it’s whatever coating is supposed to make it fogless. (Yes, I removed both layers of film before installing.) The next evening when I showered, the mirror fogged almost immediately while still appearing distorted with the aforementioned residue visible on the surface. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

To be fair, it's the only mirror I've bought that specified it was a shower mirror. The second layer of protective film was quite difficult to get started. The fog proof part is fairly effective in my shower so long as I keep it from touching the wall. The surface almost behaves like it's soapy when water gets on it. I wish it were bigger.Update: after being in the shower for a few weeks, whatever magic surfactant coating that was on it is gone. It's just a plastic mirror in the shower now. It's only anti-fog if you warm it in the water.

As soon as I saw this I had to have one. I have been a fan of shaving in the shower for more years than I can remember. For the longest time I've was using a magnifying hand mirror, which was good but didn't allow me the ability to pull my skin and get a closer shave because I couldn't use both hands. The ability to put this up on it's own hook and in a dedicated spot is a game changer and a huge plus. The size of the mirror is more than enough for the average face, and the "hook hole" is big enough to put your finger through it to use it without dropping it. The mirror itself is made of what looks like a highly reflective plastic. There are actually two clear pieces of film that need to be removed from the reflective side. I prefer that this is plastic rather than glass, because I always had a fear of dropping the old glass mirror this is replacing. That being said i would be careful not to use any abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners on the mirrored surface as it would most likely ruin it. I ran a dental pick across the top edge to see what kind of damage it would do. It did leave a scratch in a place that would not be visible. So that is something to be aware of. The city I live in has very hard water so water spots may form after some time. I wouldn't use anything stronger than vinegar or lemon juice to clean it if it does develop spots. The adhesive hook is nice bonus. It's almost invisible on my white ceramic tiles. As I have hard water I made the extra effort of cleaning the tile I mounted it to with a calcium, lime, and rust cleaner as an added step to ensure the adhesive would stay in place. The mounting base is very thin but the surface area is large enough that it provides more strength to hold the mirror up. I've used similar shower mounted devices that just didn't hold up under the weight of the thing it was suppose to be holding.I opted to place it in line with my face and used it this morning. I ran it under hot water as the instructions call out and it worked as intended. If you're already a shower shaver, or want to see if this will improve your shave game I'd recommend giving it a try.

I had high expectations because I had heard this was featured on Shark Tank. The mirror is on the smaller side. For size reference I added a picture to show it is smaller than my hand. It has a thick plastic backing that makes it very sturdy and will help it to be durable if it falls in the shower. It was easy to install on to my tile shower wall. So far, my husband has enjoyed the mirror while shaving in the shower and has had no issue with it fogging up from the steam. Time will tell if the water spot issue that comes from hard water will rear it's ugly face.
