Don’t know what is going on with Pflueger but the last three reels I bought are not smooth reeling. They have catches in them

This is a panfish catching reel. Pair it with a 5' or 5'6" ultralight rod and 4 lb test line, and let the good times reel! My opinion this reel puts the newer zebco underspin/ trigger reels to shame.

The reel seems well made and is solidly constructed. Works well enough but for the price I have a Zebco 33 that I paid $21 for and changed out the bushing for bearings that cost me a couple bucks more that is a smoother. The pfleuger has a good drag and casts well the line that came on it seems decent, however again for the price I was expecting better.

I bought this underspin reel as I like fishing ultralight rods and prefer the spinning reel form factor. The reel is so fun to use and I usually keep it on a rod in my vehicle if I have time to fish and I'm away from home. I took off the original line and added 4lb mono which has been working great. I love how easy the drag is to adjust and the reel is just high quality over all. If you want to enjoy the ease of a spincast with the spinning form factor I would recommend this to anyone!
