Being a DJ and audio service. I purchased this because of the need to use the MIC system for a show that I was doing. The Head set work perfectly and did not drop out with a distance of a basketball court, the user stated that it was very confortable and he forgot he was waring it. The sound quality was very good and clear. I don't know what the batter life will be but it was used for 4 hours non stop and had no problems

With the right adjustments on the mixer, you can get VERY decent sound out of these. Microphone quality is okay, battery life is GREAT, and they're straight forward to use. Recommended to cut mid and high frequencies and enabling PAD on the mixer.

I have used Phenyx Pro products in the past and this one, the PTU 71 2B, did not disappoint. The first use was with my pastor. She currently uses a Shure lapel mic. The PTU 71 is a great comparison to the Shure. Just had to add a little eqing and it was solid. Approximately 50 ft away from the reciver. The second use was in a performance setting. A performer was using the unit as she moved about the open room. The sound quality was good. Again, a little eqing and all was well. It was easy to setup and use. It helps that I've used Phenyx Pro equipment before, so I'm familiar with the operation. Overall, I really enjoy using the PTU 71. I think I would benefit from the PAS 225x.

Finally had time to pull out and test the PTU-71. I had a wedding that was going to be my test for this originally but it had cancelled on short notice. I used a Bose S1 battery powered speaker as the audio device. The quality of sound great and the receiver quality is solid. The bodypacks are made of plastic and are really light and seem really cheap in build. The sound quality and coverage does make up for the bodypacks plastic feel and instructions are straight forward. There are no advanced features such as sensitivity and frequency control. That’s located on the receiver exclusively. Performed very well but make sure to check your local TV broadcast stations to make sure you stay away from their frequencies. Read the manual.

Phenyx Pro PTU-71-2B reviewGood evening everyone. I recently received the Phenyx Pro PTU-71-2B. This unit came is a very nice package shrink wrapped for protection. Upon opening the box it came with everything needed to get set up and use right away. This unit comes with a base unit and 2 body packs that each has both headset mic and a lapel mic. Set up was very easy and quick. The sound quality is top notch even on a lower priced unit. Vocals are very clear in speaking and even singing. This unit would be a great unit for churches, DJs , teachers, or any where a hands free microphone is needed. Very light weight and noncumbersome. The body pack while made off plastic but still looks professional and is very sturdy. If you are in the market for a hand free headset lapel mic and on a budget this unit is one to get. Very satisfied from beginning to end with this unit and can’t wait to use this with my gospel group as we have revivals, singings and other events where this will definitely come in handy. I highly recommend this unit.

This wireless microphone system is absolutely brilliant with crisp clear sound with no sign of lag during transmission and you get a fair distance too from the transmitters to the receiving station which makes this little compact unit really useful from stage work to DJ to just about wherever you want or need to use it,The body transmitters take 2 batteries supplied and there are 2 transmitters in the box and the main unit is plugged into an electric socket and you get 2 choices of mic with this set up 2 lapel mics and 2 headset mics it's nice to have that choice and the supplied mics are clear and crisp and sound fantastic and each has foam wind covers so no wind distortion when outdoors,A big 5 star plus from me brilliant neat mic system highly recommended.

This unit works great, the only issue I have is when you move the microphone somewhere it does not stay in place. It is driving us crazy! It bends and then it snaps back. It's unacceptable. myself and other singers don't need to be constantly readjusting the arm that holds the microphone, or hold it in place. It's a nice unit but the headset is extremely unreliable. I did ask for a replacement headset something more reliable. They just don't get it.

The lapel mic for speaking works great, and the singing headset has a hissing sound. Overall, it works pretty well.

The Phenyx Pro PTU-71-2B doesn't disappoint. Sets up easy. Batteries are included for both transmitters. Channel selection is easy. Nice, clean signal on both channels when used simultaneously. Both the clip on and headset microphones have a great sound. Headsets work great for speech or singing. Great, powerful, natural sound. Great punch in the lows without sounding muddy and mids and highs come through without sounding tinny or distorted. Great quality all the way around.I know a rackmount kit is available for this for a single reciever, but I am hoping Phenyx Pro will start offering a rackmount kit for 2 recievers because I would like to be able mount a second unit with this one in a single rack space.
