I bought this before with no issues. This time I think they confused the strength. I used the usual amount in my beer at a projected 5.4 mash PH and came out to 2.9. I compared the first bottle I got with this one and the acidity level is exponentially higher...May be lactic advertised as phosphoric. Be aware of inconsistent product.

The jar is smaller than expected by the picture. I'd recommend changing liquid to something with a spout. For now, I use an eye dropper to measure out. I'm making my own beverages, not brewing anything so can't say about that. Sometimes I add a bit to my cola to give it a bit of kick.

Love this stuff, I use it as a rust inhibitor on Iron, spread it on, wipe off after 10 minutes, spray with oil or wd40.the acid has a mild surface action that allows it to hold the oil and reduce oxidation

Does lower the PH in the mash and sparge water but in brewing a 10 gallon batch of beer I have used half of the product. With Lactic acid I only use a teaspoon or two!!

I bought this instead of driving to the homebrew store. I've been keeping it in the fridge because I saw that MoreBeer does that at their store to keep it fresh. It works, and I think it might be cheaper than what they sell there. A little less than a cap of it lowers my PH by .01. Obviously this wont be the same for your mash, but I'll keep buying this stuff from here.
