Small light weight but gives off great diffused bounce lighting. White umbrella works both as soft reflecting and soft box effect. Black umbrella great reflector. Will create hard shadows. Not for outdoor use where wind would take these to another county. Great for product, pet, portrait and small family photography.

The umbrellas are lightweight and would be acceptably functional but their build quality is awful. On two of the 4 I received, the spring loaded latch that keeps the umbrellas open when extended flew right off when opening them, rendering them useless. Save your money.

The umbrellas themselves are very cheap material with a very basic mechanism. What was most disappointing was that the packaging was very sloppy (plastic bag not properly taped secured). The Amazon box that the umbrellas came in was perfectly fine, but the inner package (actual umbrellas) was in cheap plastic, not well secured. To make it worse, one umbrella is missing, so I only got 3 of the 4 I was supposed to get and paid for. I cannot recommend this product.

I buy umbrellas like these every year or two. I bring them everywhere with me to break out a lighting option because they're so easy to just keep in a bag. If you need softer light in a pinch, these do the trick.
