The post for the stud was pretty okay quality, but the moon charm was turned copper, and I had started getting an allergic reaction. Disappointing, this was one of the first items I have ever purchased from Pierced Owl that was bad quality.

Disclaimer: I've researched Pierced Owl as a company and know them to source pieces from other places, so I doubt they are to blame for the issues with this labret.I love the design of this piece, but the post is not made of quality materials. Unlike other reviewers, I had no problems with it turning my ear green. But I began struggling with weird ear congestion and ear infections that came and went. It didn't occur to me until today, when I put it in again, that the earring is to blame. The post must have a LOT of nickel in it because it inflamed my ear so much that my ear started feeling infected again within hours of inserting this labret. As a test to whether or not the problem was the front or the post, I screwed the front onto a barbell I knew to not be problematic. The swelling and congestion in my ear disappeared within fifteen minutes. I have not yet discounted the possibility of the front being problematic as well, but I KNOW the post to be bad as the back of my ear and my hole are currently aching. I will never wear this again, nor will I buy from Pierced Owl again unless they more closely control and disclose the quality of the pieces they source.

I had a really hard time getting it to screw on in the first place, then it came loose and I ended up losing the front piece. It also turned my ear green. It’s cute but I wish it was made of better material and was a push in or at least more secure

Got this in the mail pretty quickly. The top doesn’t screw down tightly enough to keep it from coming loose. Also, the top of the piece doesn’t sit flush. Not well-made so I returned it. I do not recommend.

It was hard to tighten. So be prepared use needle nose pliers to secure it or I promise...it will come off....I love it!!! Worth buying...
