These adapters fit great at a more reasonable price than many other options. So glad I found them

Do not waste your time with these unions. These unions are worthless! The slip side of the union is said to be designed for 2" pipe, but the opening is too large for 2" PVC pipe. PVC pipe should fit snuggly into a slip fitting and is best if it only goes about 1/3 of the way in when dry fitting. If it does go all of the way in an bottoms out it should be VERY tight. These slip fittings however are extremely loose when dry fitting and there is not PVC glue/cement in the world that I would trust to make a good bond between this product and a 2" PVC pipe.

This is the fitting that connects your Pentair pump to the plumbing. It is also used for pool heaters and the salt water chlorinator cell. My cell started leaking last summer and I went to the pool store to get these fittings. Surprisingly, they do not carry these fittings. Had to order online and wait a couple of days. Since I could not run the pump, the pool turned green. Now I keep a set of these on hand for just the next leak or pool plumbing job.

Thought first reviewer simply did not know how PVC fittings work. But he is correct, these parts do not fit 2" standard PVC pipes. The ID of the flanged part is about 1/8" to large. 2" PVC pipe is loose, with a small gap. No way PVC glues is going to seal this part (did not try).Unless these parts are mislabeled, they are clearly defective and should be sold. Returning parts on Monday.

It fits to the starite 3 system but a 2 inch pvc pipe is a bit too small. It wiggles and even cement glue it leaks because their opening is not a tight fit
