Very difficult to put the parts together and then it did not work well

These Smaiasl 20PCS Self Watering Spikes with Adjustable Control switch are ok. Theres no instructions but it's fairly simple to figure out how to put together the pieces together. The plastic is not trimed so you have to break some pieces off to get them to fit. I used a 1in water bottle, cut open the bottom of it to pour water in easily. The threading doesn't tighten onto the bottle so it kept spinning which caused it to leak when water was put in. While it did leak it held water pretty well and allowed for the slow continuous drip I needed for my moss poles. For $12 for 20 bases it's not too bad. Using these in my moss poles are fine if it leaks but not ideal. These are budget spikes if you really need them. I don't care for the colors. I have a plant to look at the plant, not to see a tacky bright plastic piece in said plant.

I have quite a few houseplants, so I am always looking for good watering aides. These are not really them. While they do screw onto a standard water bottle and fit well, the water just flows out. I put one in as a tester and within 12 hours, almost all of the water had drained out of the 16-ounce water bottle. The adjustable control is a joke. It does nothing.

Very poorly made. They leak at the bottle neck, and they leaked on the spike. the control valve was useless. The plastic was poorly trimmed away making adjustment impossible.
