Finally got one of these up.It is an interesting contraption. Option 2 worked for us, but the multiple pieces and "it takes an extra pair of hands" finagling was a bit frustrating, after too many minutes spent studying diagrams and instructions.We were only able to hang one of these, as a mini ball bearing was missing from the part that helps lock the wire -- so we can only lock the wire on one side. We will try to find replacement at hardware store and put the second one up. It is hard to explain, but there are three little ball bearings that catch the wire and lock it when you thread it through to secure the container. With only two ball bearings, the wire doesn't hold.It would stay okay now, but if it rains or when we water and add weight, we need both sides secured.CAUTION to others: Be very careful not to lose those teensy ball bearings if you are using the wires.I had been unable to find a hanger system that would work for our wide containers and or deck rails until I found these, so I'm glad to know they can work, but it seems there could be an easier, less complicated system.

They are very heavy duty brackets. I read all the specifictaions and checked my dimmentions before ordering them, because I had a bad experience in the past of ordering several different brackets for my slightly tapered planter that didn't fit. The VZZNN brackets are adjustable, with added security of the wire that can be adjusted to your needs, size of the planter and railings. I have pretty narrow railing, but was able to use the brackets and put the palnter in. I filled it with soil and we got a nasty wheater. It's been snowing and raining for a month now, but the brackets and the planter are bravely holding on. I am very happy and can't wait till spring planting. I would recommend these brackets because they are adjustable and can accomodate different styles of railings, different sizes of planters and are sturdy and heavy duty. Also, the wire provided ads extra security preventing the planter of being knocked off by strong winds or stray cats.

I received this from the Amazon Vine program and am leaving my review voluntarily.These brackets appear sturdy. I plan to attach these to a wooden porch versus a window. Quality of brackets seem heavy duty as well. Priced at $35.99 for 4 does seem high.Will update review once I actually attach these.

I couldn't believe how heavy this box was when I opened it - every piece has weight to it and feels heavier than it looks which in this case is a really good thing. The black coating is even all the way around. The cables which provide secondary support come from the back of the base area closest to the fence then up around the box looping to the top for added support - the cables are a good thickness that they will not break or bend, you may need to camouflage the cables with the plant or flowers but from a distance they will not be noticeable.Think these will be great, it is still winter for me, a few more weeks before we will be ready to get the flower boxes ready for spring. Will update the review if there is a failure to hold the flower boxes or any issues with how they hold up through the season.

These are the usual black, powder coated steel, planter box brackets. That's not a criticism, just a statement of fact. The differences in brackets are not in finish but in how they fit. These also include a wire to loop over the planter box to secure it in place. Probably a good thing on an urban balcony, but not of much use on a suburban back porch.Instructions are again the usual pictures with no text. Probably the best bet when a product comes from China as all of these seem to do. Instructions are adequate, but not great. These have a piece designed for a round or curved porch top rail which is nice but if the top of the railing is not several inches wide these brackets will stick out beyond the edge of the top rail. So, if your deck top rail is narrow these may not be a great choice. Otherwise, they may be a good choice. There is nothing lacking in quality, materials, or finish.

I have a front porch that runs the width of my house, and I decided that I want to prettify it this coming spring. Planter boxes seem like the easiest way to do it, so I am buying both box brackets and boxes to prepare for this year's upcoming planting season. These planter box brackets came quickly and were nicely boxed, which was good because they really ARE heavy! They are a uniformly finished black to go with my other brackets for the front porch, and also come with a cable that ensures further great support for the window boxes. Since they will be filled with lots of soil, the boxes can be heavy too, and this set of brackets makes sure they won't go anywhere! After a long, cold winter, I will be looking forward to putting these brackets and some boxes up on my front porch for a dose of color! These are NOT cheap, but you get what you pay for in this instance.
