I grew up managing the family survey research firm, so I have used a lot of headsets. However, I have not been as happy with any of them, as I am with this one. The sound is astonishingly good, the noise cancellation is excellent. In my law office no one on the phone hears when my assistant comes into my office to tell me something. Noise cancellation is super important in a headset because a headset, is not a phone, it allows you to move around freely and talk without having to hold something up. The downside is that as you roam and talk, the person you are talking to can hear everything around you, unless you have noise cancellation, and the noise cancellation on this unit is amazing.I cannot stress how much of an advantage it is to have the headset binaural. I have been singing the praises of binaural headsets since I was a kid supervising survey research. hearing someone in both ears is a huge advantage with a telephone headset, because you use a telephone headset so you free your hands to do other things, and that means you are making noise. If you are making noise, it is less likely you miss something with sound coming in both ears, rather than one ear.The sound quality both incoming and outgoing are amazing. I have gotten zero complaints that someone cannot hear me, and I can always hear them, it is a perfect setup with the phone lifter.I am a lawyer who thought speaker phone was sufficient to free my hands, and I did not need one of these, because my survey research days were done. I was wrong. Speakerphone, no matter how expensive and good, does not sound like you are giving the client the priority that a regular phone makes it sound like you are. This headset sounds better than picking up the receiver, and my clients are all happy because they are not straining with a speaker phone, which also picks up every sound in the office, like typing notes as to what they are saying, or fiddling around with stuff on my desk, or pulling files.

I bot this for myself for Xmas but I couldn't wait to open it. It works like a charm. Some of my co workers recommended it and I was a skeptic but not anymore. The audio is clear I don't know how many feet but i can go outside into my yard and still have a connection. I am no longer tethered to the desk when working. I can do laundry, start dinner, clean house all while working. This is a great headset. I would definitely recommend it.

Have had this product for a couple of years now and use it for work, so has had a lot of use. No issues to report, battery life is execellent. Have completed an 11 hour work day wearing almost constantly, only placing on the charge station for a 30 min lunch break with no problem. Sound quality is excellent.

Setup was a little more complicated then I have experienced with other wireless products- but once I got it up and running it works great! The audio quality is really good, I was concerned about interference because several co-workers around me have them but you would never know. I can walk a solid distance away from my desk if needed and I have never experienced a drop in audio quality. The Mute button on the headset is convenient when I am away from my desk on a conference call.

I purchased one of these headsets for use with my office's Cisco 7940 series IP Phone as a trial for wireless headsets. The package comes with the stereo headset and the charging base but you need to purchase the HL10 handset lifter to get the complete system otherwise you'll have to manually remove the headset when picking up/dialing a call. One thing to note is that you must plug the wire into the HANDSET not the HEADSET port on the phone otherwise the volume of the mic will be very low. I docked a point off because the instructions aren't explicitly clear about this and another person I sent this headset ended up complaining about low microphone volume because they used the wrong port. The headset itself has a nice soft foam padding for your ears and a decent amount of adjustment on the band.

Review of: "Plantronics CS520 Binaural Wireless Headset System."The Plantronics CS520 is an excellent headset. The manufacturer specifications include: "Hands-free up to 350 feet; 1-touch call answer/end; volume increase or decrease; mute & flash controls; Energy efficient adaptive power system optimizes for range & talk time; Conference in up to 3 additional CS500 or Savi headsets for enhanced collaboration; New headsets can subscribe to base by simply docking the headset."This headset is light and the boom mic does not get in the way as it is adjustable. The range is incredible at +/- 350 feet. The system sets up very easily and is controlled from the headset. Run time is approximately 10 hours per charge. If allowed to charge for 30 minutes in that time period the run time can be extended by a few more hours. To go wireless this headset is worth the price. Well done at five stars.

This was recommended by a coworker and he is very right. So far the battery has been fantastic, and the build quality is great. It took me a bit to figure out what specific numbers are good for my needs (the numbers on the bottom are frequencies) but a quick google search had that done. It looks sleek and doesn't take up too much room on my desk. Comfortable to wear, very light headset. Fast response with answering/ringing as well, very very little lag. I'm VERY happy with it!

I am not in a call center, but work for a global company and spend a lot of time on conference calls. I needed a headset that:* Wireless (I tend to walk & talk)* Audio in both ears (as one-ear headsets let me hear too much noise around me)* Great audioThe CS520 met those requirements, so I got them. The set up took some tweaking (I had some echo that took a bit to get the settings right), but now they work great. People say i come across clear; I hear everyone great. They do just what they advertise.Charge lasts a long time, as well.ONLY CONCERN: Maybe my head is to big, but they don't truly open wide enough to get both ears in the right spot. Fully-open, it's still a a stretch for me.

the microphone didn't work. Called up Plantronics tech supports and they asked me to try couple of settings but the microphone didn't work. I tried to set up this wireless headset with other desk phones, I could hear everything clearly but the microphone was not working. I had to return this to amazon. This was my third failed experience with Plantronics wireless headsets :(

I recently had to switch from this Plantronics headset to a Logitech h800 because of going from a VOIP phone to Google Voice. It was tough to do it, but it had to be done. This headset is by far the best double eared headset that I've used in my over seven years of Sales. Not only is it cushy and comfortable on your ears, but the quality is crystal clear. I also work at home and have hardwood floors so I usually echo, but this headset keeps the echo down to a minimum. It's also easy to mute and un mute while walking around. The range is unbelievable. I would go out to my mailbox to get the mail, go to my kitchen, walk down in the basement and even go in my backyard over 100 feet away from my receiver and never lost signal. If you're using an office phone or work from home with a VOIP phone hands down this is the headset to get.ProsComfortEasy to mute and un muteMouthpiece never gets in the wayCharging receiver is easy and keeps the headset out of the wayTalk time is super longThe Range is unbelievableConsNot being able to use if for Google Voice on my laptopUpdate:Per Mark Stewart's comment below it looks like there is an option for anyone that wants to use google voice, skype, etc. with this headset. It's the ZoomSwitch Headset Accessory and is available on Amazon. Also, I couldn't take not using this headset anymore so at the beginning of the year I got an office phone, plugged it into my router and presto, got to use the headset again.
