These Shears reduce the cutting time required, compared with traditional equipment. These cutters have a cushioned grip surface for maximum comfort. The blades life will be extended due to the sharp edges not touching edge to edge, this can create wear and tear. The range of Xuron in this listing includes: Maxi-shear Flush Cutter These cutters measure approximately 14.5cm in total length with the inner jaw measuring approx. 1.5cm and approx. 1.5cm total jaw width. The maximum cutting capacity is 2mm, using non-ferrous metals only. Oval Head Micro-shears These shears measure approximately 0.43 inches (11mm) in jaw length and 5.03 inches (128mm) overall length. The maximum cutting capacity is 18 gauge using non-ferrous metals only. Tapered Head Micro-shears These shears measure approximately 0.6 inches (15mm) in jaw length and 5.25 inches (133mm) overall length. The maximum cutting capacity is 14 gauge using non-ferrous metals only. Micro-shear Flush Cutter The Micro-Shear Flush Cutters measure approximately 0.51 inches (13mm) in jaw length and 5.08 inches (129mm) overall length. The size of the soft wire that you are able to cut measures 1.29mm in size measuring non-ferrous metals only. I have recently gotten into chain maille jewelry and crafting. I have been buying different pliers from several sources for years for using in jewelry making and my attempts at wire wrapping. I was having such a hard time using any of my previously purchased pliers for chain maille. I kept bending the jumprings and having them go flying across the room. I was watching several chain maillers on youtube and noticed that many of them seem to use Xuron pliers.I found that these are THE pliers to have for creating beautiful chain maille masterpieces with ease and I now keep my frustration at a minimum. I recommend pairing the 475 Xuro-Grip Short Nose Pliers and the Xuron Chisel Nose 487 pliers!

I have so many pliers but this pair by far is my favorite! I use these with my left hand, and a pair of the Xuron 475s with my right hand, and this is what works so far for all of my chainmaille projects. With the chiseled end pointing up it adds more support to the ring. And with the chiseled end pointing down it is easier to grip and maneuver even the smallest rings. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I have to give these a 10.

They feel lovely in the hand, and are very capable pliers. I use them for chainmail and they are capable of closing much larger rings than I thought they would be able to. Currently my go to plier, the handle is shorter than average, making them much more portable, just wish I could have some sort of case for them, as they spike through my bag when I take them about with me, and I have taken to putting them back in the cardboard they came in, which is not a long term solution I don't think. Still I have spent many happy hours using them, and they show little to no signs of wear.

Fantastic pliers. Shipping was very quick. I highly recommend these pliers if you are doing chainmaille or wire work or really any hobby that deals with small pieces of metal that need to be held or manipulated.
