It’s harder to get a perfect simple loop. You can do it, but it takes a few tries to get it as good as using a regular round nose plier.

Not the most expensive, but the most useful! I’m a silversmith and jeweler and these are my favorite!!! Whenever I teach classes these are my recommendation to all students.

Ho comprato questa piccola pinza per dei lavori di wire wrapping avendola vista su un tutorial. Usata una volta per un filo da 0,8 mm, le punte "svirgolano" senza riuscire a piegare il filo. Ho attrezzi cinesi presi su altre piattaforme che sono molto più performanti. Credo le restituirò.

I had purchased other pliers but finally found this tool which is feather like weight and can help form tiniest loop possible. Seems to be durable as well. There is looking back at any other tools.

Best pair of needle nose pliers I've ever had. I am so pleased with these. Worth every penny. Those fine points make jewelry making so much easier to manage the tiniest components. And they feel strong enough to handle heavier gauge wire. I haven't tried them on larger than 18 g yet, but don't anticipate any problem. I'll trust this Xuron brand much more than any others I've used.

I really like the Xuron product line---excellent quality for the money. Have been making jewelry for a very long time and it is very important to have good tools. Cheap tools are inconsistent in formation of the product, durability, and ergonomics. Xuron competes with the best of the tools out there at a fraction of the price. This round nose plier is unusual as it doesn't LOOK like regular round nose pliers--it looks like a thin flat nose, however it IS round and makes a nice smaller sized round jump ring or loop. The tool is easy to work with, you just need to be aware where the rounded portion of the tool ends and the base of the tool begins, because this area is more squared off. I have not been unhappy with any of the Xuron tools I have gotten...this one included!!

This is a more expensive brand. Being on the lower income level I do wish they had it a little more affordable or maybe deal coupon or some kind of buy one get next one half off kind a thing so that others who are low income and just starting out in the jewelry industry or making jewelry for something to do could experience using nice tools. I got lucky to have a gift. But I have been making jewlery for almost 30 years as a hobby and gift giving. This brand along with a lot of other expensive brands out there, (ones that are more expensive than this brand), do make a difference! They have an amazing fine tip and feel great in the hand. They are not heavy, or hard to work. They work nice and smooth! I would totally suggest this brand!

I searched jewelry supply sites and stores for very fine nosed pliers but had no success. I finally found them with a broader search: electronics people had been hiding these tiny, smooth pliers in plain sight.The grip is comfortable and the action makes the pliers very easy to use for extended periods of time, a necessity for anyone weaving wire. The well-finished smooth tips still hold the wire securely - no need for a tense grip. Overall, they are perfect for working 24-guage plus wire or soft 22-guage Fine Silver wire.Although these are quality pliers, they should not be dropped, used as pry bars, buried under hammers, or used on heavy guage, hard wire. With abuse, the tiny tips could skew out of alignment, break, or (worse) sustain damage that would transfer onto your work wire. They are worth a little pampering because that tip allows wire working tn very tight spaces. They are ideal for creating delicate filigree and for weaving fine wire over a base of heavier, harder wire. There may be many other uses for them, perhaps even knotting pearls, if I can keep them on my bench and out of the hands of the resident geeks.*Note to wirework jewelers: these are not the pliers to use with heavy guage wire, 18 guage or lower. Their extra fine tips would have little effect on thick wires. Even Half-Hard 20-guage wire might damage the pliers - I'm reluctant to try it. Look for updates as I learn more with use.
