The size and price of this plug-in detector are great. On the other hand, I sprayed some Lysol air freshener in the air, and the detector, which has our CD/DVD case 2 inches in front of it, went off. When it went off, I thought we were having a propane leak. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. I sprayed the Lysol again, and it went off. That's not good. I guess the old saying is true: "You get what you pay for."

I really like this detector. It is beautiful to look at, provides useful information like temperature, as well as dangerous gas content in the air. The display is always on, has a nice array of colors, and when you test it, the voice is far less annoying than an old fashioned loud beeping. Also, the bright red blinking lights would help you find the source of the voice, if you are sleepy in the night time. This is just a big improvement on the previous detectors we've had. It runs on wall outlet power, not batteries that often fail at the worst possible times. A modern re-design of the CO detector.

This is really good, but it is blocky, so when I put it into the plug, I struggle to put anything else with it.

First one we got had a cracked screen. I was able to get a second and that one has been working well. Has a nice voice that comes on to let you know it’s booting up. The volume is good if you’re on the same floor. When using in a basement it’s a little harder to hear when it goes off but that seems to be the case with most. I like the compact size and that it gives you some info on the screen like temp and if there is any gas in the air. Definitely worth having one for peace of mind if there is a leak
