Magical in the trees because it has plenty of refractive objects. We use it in the woods as people enter our property. It has lasted for 3 months in the cold thus far.

Wide projection, but has some downfalls. High priced units. Not sure if less expensive products have as wide a projection. Red laser is not very bright. Units default to all color, slow movement, when powered on. It would be nice if they would power on with the same settings as when they turn off.

Very easy to set up. Ours has been set for six hours and runs fine so far. It has only been a few months so time will tell.

I've owned a number of these type of laser Christmas projectors, which I use to put slowly moving green dots in the trees of my large-ish back yard at Christmas. This is the nicest one I've ever had. I don't care about any images, just moving dots, and this model delivers, red and green, moving or still. The construction is metal, and solid, and waterproof. The brightness is good at night even in a big yard. The timer function on the remote turns off the lights after a certain amount of time, but you have to manually turn them on again. However, the unit turns on when you plug it in, remembering its settings, so you could put it on an external timer. It's simple, but it does what it does very well.

My previous laser projector broke shortly before Christmas, so I ordered this one which arrived quickly. I wanted quality, three colors and was willing to pay more for it. Setup was easy and the lights bright. After observing it for awhile though, I noticed there were so few red lights, mostly green, and blue amount was in between. I expected the color distribution to be even. I wrote the seller Ben to find out if this was a defect. He quickly responded with the following information. I include it below in case you are wondering the same thing I did. So, thus for the seller and the product get my 5 stars." It is normal situation. Like every other laser on the market today, green is the most bright. Because our products are operated by laser beams,the laws of physics in regards to wavelength intensities must be taken into account.Green is the most easily recognized color by the human eye.Red colored lasers have a longer wavelength, meaning their is less energy transferred at one time, so it will appear dimmer with less dots even when operated at the same output power level of other colors.Whereas, the color green has a shorter and faster wavelength so it transfers energy more frequently,so it appears brighter with a more concentration of dots."

These lights were a hit at Christmas and really stepped up our Christmas display game on our two-story home which we were having trouble decorating coming from a one-story rancher. The lights were absolutely lovely and even penetrated into the two front facing rooms on the ceilings ever so lightly. The light source was offset on the ground in a bush so delivery trucks during daytime hours would not notice unless they were looking for it. Luckily our neighborhood is fairly respectful so I hope it stays safe as this is expensive. It does include a lock so I will try to use the lock or try to tie down next year.I hope this lasts a long time. It was so pretty to drive up to the house and see and lit up quite a large area of the front of the house with 2 entry lights on. So the twinkles were bright enough to show through. the entry lights because of the LED if that makes any sense. I did not care for other lights by other manufacturers that had Santa/candy canes and such but wanted classy twinkles like this. If i remember correctly you can control the speed and the tightness of the pattern. I am writing this from memory in springtime. LOL. Poeland was responsive when I asked them a question. The lock they provide with this is rather cheesy and if someone really wanted to steal it they could so keep that in mind.
