It sure cleaned the outdoor pond, but it clogged up very quickly, severely restraining the flow. Will have to find another solution that is more coarse.

Not the exact filter that I needed for the pump I was gifted but works great. Pump was slowing down after two days and with the filter it went a month before needing to be cleaned.

Awesome way to add a extra step of mechanical filtration into your aquarium. It's got a nice snug fit over the intake on my Aqueon 75, plus it's coarse so I don't have to worry about it restricting the flow of water to the impeller. I would highly recommend this if you want to keep your tank/pond cleaner while also preventing larger debris from damaging the impeller.

These are hard to find locally so I keep them in stock for my seasonal pond

Been using them for many years in my pond as a prefilter. Easy to rinse clean and last for years.

Does good job of keeping. Rode out of the pump impeller. There is a black plastic insert in the foam. This insert pushes onto the pump output. The insert is fragile and easy to damage.

These filters really work! If your pond is dirty, as mine was, initially you will have to flush this filter once a day. The point is, maybe the flushing sounds excessive, think of it this way- no longer is all that debris being pumped. After a couple of weeks, I am now up to flushing the filter every two to three days, with no debris to wear out or affect the pump's operation, and my pond water is clear. Oh, and you may ask, "Why was your pond dirty in the first place?" Due to old strainer that was failing and passing a lot of debris through the pump.
