Put this in as an emergency toilet in our storm shelter. Was able to vent it outside and everything assembled as expected. Came with sufficient vent pipe and hardware and is compact but usable. Still need to cut in a dry well through concrete floor but that should be no issue. Will encourage it is used primarily as a #1 toilet unless needed for emergency. I used to have a much larger Sun-Mar, that while very efficient, was significantly larger and taller. This was much more compact but hoping the active forced venting will prove odor free. The in-line fan doesn't seem terribly strong but it does move the vent cover vanes so I know it's moving air. I think this will work for periodical, seasonal use, and fits well into a small space, but if I was looking for a composting toilet that sees regular use, I would go with a larger unit, and one with a heater element in the base to improve evaporation and composting. I think I could install an electric plant seed heat matt under the inner basin if needed. My installation is in a freeze-free area, but is only kept at about 60 degrees during the winter. Overall, impressed with how it all went together.

So far I've been using this toilet for a week. The turn thing in back kinda works but it doesn't cover up the poo. I had to start scooping as to not waste my coconut coir. When I plugged fan it it didn't work untill I gave it a good bang on the side. I'm having trouble with the pee leaking where the hose connects. I did find stuff on line to help with smells when fan stops working.

We have had this on our remote property for a year now and it's still in great shape. My hubby is 240lbs and it supports us all just fine. No cracks, no repairs have been needed at all. It would be nice if they sent one more length of pipe (we have taller than norm walls since we built it), but otherwise a great product.

We live full time on our RV and installing this was a game changer. Easy to setup and install. Only issue is the handle used to spread the compost. It broke in the first week of using. Nothing major but a different type might work better.

Would say its quality but cant use it do to being broken in transit. They need to protect the area the pee hose connects to. Doesnt function cause the plastic piece broke off. An now i have to fix it myself causw customer service doesnt help at all. Not worth 600 at all more like 200 bucks.

We use this in an offgrid backyard bathroom. We use it for #1 only and it drains into a french drain type pit. We have a water hose next to it to give a quick "flush" so zero odor. We didn't set up the vent pipe since we rinse after each use and do not use it for #2-- it is used as a unisex urinal mainly for backyard teen parties. We keep "directions for use" posted on the wall.

Nice concept not having to use a separate urine bucket! Be careful though, some of the urine will track back in between the base and the inner holding bucket causing a bad odor! (Yes, We made sure we had the hose attached properly.) As long as you keep an eye on that, you’ll have a great composting system!

The toilet is the right height, but the back turn does not work well. I end up having to scoop out the back where the composting material is to cover your waste. It is messy to scoop it in, it stinks and the urine smell is horrible. I regret this purchase but on the bright side it is easy to clean.
