I needed to weigh down our pool ladder inside the pool - temporarily - until our new deck has been built. For now, the steps in the pool float away on their own, but with these latches on to the side rails, it is kept in place.The only issue is these don't easily hold water since you roll the top down to "seal" the bags. Took about 30 tries before I managed to keep enough water inside them to make them useful. I later changed the water for sand, and so far, not seeing the sand leak out into the pool.They do hold quite a bit of sand so two of these is likely all you need for most ladders, though if you have a huge one or the wedding cake style, you'll need more weight than what these two bags can provide.

I didn't get these for a pool, but for a party tent that I use as an outdoor storage unit. I got them because where I live the weather can get pretty ugly so you have to take extra measures to keep your belongings in your yard with the crazy wind some days. They're very spacious, they hold either water or sand ( I used sand ) and you can put a good bit in them. I think they're working great for what I need them for.

I picked up these pool ladder weights not for what they were intended for. I use them to keep our outdoor umbrella from toppling over in the wind. They actually work great. I filled them with water which got them to weigh a little over 8 pounds each. The water didn't leak out even though the "flap" system seal isn't water tight. I did find, however, that the water evaporates quickly so they should be filled with sand, rocks or other heavy media. I really like them and I'm sure they will work well for the application they were intended for.

our pool stairs kept floating up even with the factory weight system. these were a great addition to our above ground pool ladder/steps. the materiel is very thick and good quality. the material is soft enough that if it touches the pool liner you don't have to worry about any damage. the set up is easy to use .

These were perfect!!! I added half a bag of play sand to each (not sure what the weight was), then rolled it down and clipped it right on the step like the photo shows. This was very easy to do, and absolutely helped to keep my pool steps weighted down and in place. Since they are just full of sand, I also do not have to worry about if they will tear the bottom of the pool.Really awesome product and we will use it again next year in our swimming pool.

These pool step weights have done a great job keeping my above-ground pool ladder stable. Initially, I filled with water and placed them on the pool side, but I didn’t notice much of a difference since they don’t provide much downward pull underwater. However, once I filled them and placed them on the dry side of the ladder, the added weight made a big impact, keeping everything firmly in place.The sandbags are made from tough 500D PVC, and so far, they’ve held up well against the elements without any signs of leaking. Even after almost three weeks outdoors, they’re still intact and functioning as expected. The filling process was quick and easy, and they have a solid, secure feel to them once filled.If you need a reliable solution to keep your pool ladder or steps stable, these weights are a great option. Just be sure to position them on the dry side for the best results. They’re durable, effective, and have been a helpful addition to my pool setup.
