Just starting taking care of my pool myself. Not the first time of taking care of a pool. Reading the strips, it indicated many discrepancies of chemical balance. Added indicated chemicals but did not "balance out". Took a water sample to my pool supplier after "strip" testing and their report indicated high levels of chemicals added and 1 low level of chemical not added as per test strip results. I brought test strips and test strip results were not in line with computer analysis of water sample. They believe I had received "stale" test strips and advised me to return strips. Sadly, the 2 containers ordered were past return date. My advise - use test stripes when received and bring water sample to your pool pro to compare readings...

These test strips are not accurate. My Taylor test kit was out of date and my HTH set of strips were out of date, as well, so I bought these. These showed I had no chlorine or cyanuric acid. I added chlorine stabilizer. Strips still showed zero, after a few days. I took my water to pool store and my levels were super high. I had tried my out of date items and they tested the same as the pool store. 3 out of 4 don't lie. I would not recommend these to anyone.

I like that this strip test for seven different things. The most important to me being chlorine and free chlorine. I have used many different strips and these are a quick and accurate reading. I compared them at the same time with some other strips and they read the same. I attached a picture of the strip after dipping it in the pool water. There is an indicator on the bottle to let you know what is the "normal" range. As you can see in my picture all my chemicals are perfect with the exception of muriatic acid which read "zero". It came with detailed instructions which is great if your not familiar with using strips. Just be sure you store them out of the sun and make sure your hands are dry when you pull a strip out so that you don't ruin the rest. I think this is a great value for the quantity you receive. You can test each day for the entire summer and still have leftovers. Very happy with these and would recommend.
