This is not quite what I expected, but it's still useful. Calling it a washing machine is probably a little grand, considering that it's just a bucket with a very small agitator at the bottom and no intelligence (other than your own!) to guide any of its activities. It's neat that it runs on battery power, and of course – as small as it is – it's easy enough to fill it up with water and a tiny amount of soap, as directed, and then move it wherever you need it to be. Depending on your needs it will agitate intermittently back-and-forth for five, 10, or 20 minutes. You have to drain it, you have to wring the clothes out, and then if you want to rinse them (maybe even a couple times?), then you have to refill the thing and make that happen, as well. But is it better than handwashing? Yeah, to me it is. At least while it's doing its thing, you can do something else, which isn't possible when you have to hand wash stuff. So, I'd say it's a slight improvement! And with this, if washing things in hot water is your thing, you can certainly wash and rinse the clothes in hotter water than you'd be able to if you had to have your hands in it, so that's also a plus.

This thing can only wash 1 long sleeved shirt, 4 socks and one underwear at once, if not even that. It feels pretty gimicky and I was surprised by how light it was. the agitator motor freezes up alot because it is a little weak. It definitely is ok for one or two days but you will spend more time messing with it. might as well just do it at a laundromat.

It's been a gamer changer for me, especially that I live on 4th floor walk up

I wanted something that would wash my light weight clothes if I ever lose normal utility service in my area. This is rechargeable which is easy with my multiple solar charging options at my house. It will only be used if necessary, but I am confident that it will be perfect if the situation requires it.
