This nail gun has changed my life, the ease of no air tank if wonderful. I'm finally able to travel and work with my nail gun, all I need is a charged battery. Not terribly heavy and worth every penny.

I love it, Ive had it over a year and it really helped me running the trim in my entire house. I use it all the time running interior trim and it has never given me any issues.

I already had a prior tool set with 8 other tools (and light). This is a great addition that uses the same 20V battery system. I also bought the angle grinder and a fan as well.

I recently purchased the PORTER-CABLE 20V MAX* Cordless 18 gauge Brad Nailer, and I must say, I'm impressed. Its cordless design offers fantastic portability, allowing me to work freely without being tethered to an outlet. The 20V MAX* battery provides ample power and long-lasting performance, which is crucial for tackling big projects without interruptions. The nailer itself is lightweight yet durable, making it comfortable to use for extended periods without causing fatigue. The depth adjustment feature is intuitive and precise, ensuring consistent nail depth with each shot. Plus, the tool-free jam release mechanism is a lifesaver when dealing with unexpected jams, saving me time and frustration on the job.I've used it for various woodworking projects, from trim work to cabinet assembly, and it has performed flawlessly every time. The 18 gauge brad nails leave clean, professional-looking finishes without marring the surface.Overall, I highly recommend the PORTER-CABLE 20V MAX* Cordless 18 gauge Brad Nailer to both DIY enthusiasts and professional carpenters alike. It's a reliable, efficient tool that has quickly become a staple in my workshop.

I bought one some years ago and in all that time I don’t think I’ve got 10 nails out of it. It keeps jamming with no solution. I have to revert to my old tool firing up my compressor. It’s just not made properly. I only bought it as I have other porter cable cordless tools and wanted to stay in that family set. Yes in retrospect I should have returned it back then. Buy another brand. This one is clearly still in development.Update: I decided to open the tool to see if there was some obvious issue. Couldn’t find anything obvious and it took a while to get it closed again. Then like magic the thing started working and haven’t stopped. Clearly whatever I shifted did the trick. Should’ve opened this thing years ago.

I have been using this constantly for the past few months now doing a reno at home. I've already put nearly 5000 2" nails through it and haven't had a single issue. The depth gauge is great. Easy to open and add more nails.Overall, I would say it's fairly light, compared to dragging 25-50ft of hose around with you. It's little bigger than your typical pneumatic nailer, but I haven't had an issue getting into the nooks and crannies I've been working with.Battery life if quite good. I love being able to grab it a go anywhere I need to. I've used a handful of times in fairly remote spots where getting an air compressor would've been a huge pain. It's particularly great for those times you just need to put a single nail in something and you don't want to be bothered gathering the compressor and all the stuff needed for the pneumatic nailers.

I love P/C tools for years. This one absolutely no complaints just congratulations. Too many complained that it is too heavy. Don't think so, I'm older and not a big person. I sure wouldn't want some light weight hunk of junk. Well built, sturdy, The depth adjustment is great. Initially thought I would have to buy a different battery pack to use instead of my 5 yr old 20 volt P/C battery packs. Called customer care. Gentleman said old packs will work and they did. Money saver. Have used in remodeling sunporch. A lot of, new windows, plenty of trim work inside and outside. Not 1 jam not 1 bent brad, perfect. When the battery gets weak, it will act like it drove a brad, but will not. Replace pack and keeping on going.

Bought this on a whim, as I'm re-doing trim on my second floor and I was tired of lugging my compressor and hose up from the basement. I already have many Porter-Cable 20v tools that I'm pleased with, and this one is yet another. It's incredibly convenient to be able to work for a couple hours on light trim without the hassle of moving around the pneumatic equipment. Works well, though the slight delay in firing the nail will take some getting used to for those accustomed to air nailers. Depth is easily adjustable and the tool itself is easy to use.Only downside is that it's a bit bulkier than normal pneumatic nail guns so be wary if you're working in tight areas. Otherwise, great tool for the money.Would I use it if I were a contractor, doing whole houses of trim at a time? I would not. But for a homeowner looking for convenience, this gun is a great buy.

Hesitated to get a Brad nailer for a long time because of the compressor, air lines, and extra noise of such a whole unit. Only did trim as a part of finishing other jobs. But, price attracted me and I already had some extra batteries from a same brand drill that I already owned. So, took the chance and have only been impressed with the way this gun performs. Very smooth actually, and not having a compressor running with hoses all over the place is "like working in heaven". Takes about a day to get used to the operation and timing of the gun, when discharging. I have placed it in its own carrying case to protect a finely tuned instrument. Very happy that I can do a better job and save a lot of time as well. Love doing trim at the end of project because of this gun. 18 gauge nails are just right and leave a little pinhole, not even needing any filler, unlike regular nails .Very happy.

My review is going to be based on my experience with other guns...Cons:There is a slight recoil. Not enough to cause any stress on your hand/arm/shoulder, but enough to leave a tiny ding in the material you are working with. So, you have to KEEP the rubber tip ON! (Which is a bit large, in cases where you are trying to get a more "precise aim" So you, kind of have to guess...);Flashlight location. WHY WOULD YOU POSITION IT BEHIND THE NOZZLE?? It makes it almost completely useless...;It doesn't let you know that it runs out of nails. You MUST physically check, like you would with pneumatic gun;Bulge on the right side of the gun. Assuming is a part of the driver of the shooting mechanism, but, unfortunately, creates an extra bump on the gun body, that can, potentially (if you are not careful) leave a ding on the material you are working with. So, if you are a careful person, you tend to lay the gun next to you, while working, on IT'S left side, which is a bit uncomfortable, in cases where it's more convenient to position it on YOUR left side;Jams nails a lot more often, then my Ryobi gun. And by "a lot more" I mean couple to 4-5 times in one full day of using it. (Comparing to my Ryobi gun, for example, which only did that many jams in a year); No "Rapid fire" option. You have to physically push the gun against the surface and ONLY THEN squeeze the trigger... Which is good for safety, but when you have to nail quite a few nails in the row and can do it fast - creates a bit of a hassle...As I mentioned in the beginning, these are all in comparing to other similarly priced guns(such as Ryobi, for example).Pros:Lightweight, despite it's physical bulkiness. It even feels more comfortable in your hand, then some other cordless guns;No need for oil;A tiny bit faster, than ones that have air compressor built in;A bit quieter, than ones with built in compressor;Easy way of "un-jamming" stuck striker, without the need of even opening the "jammed nail" latchHope it helps

Hi Porter Cable! Can I get a battery please....I bought it at regular price....Right after I opened the box, the w/ battery version went on sale for 206.99!! I feel really really bad, because that porter cable circular saw I bought on the same order is going through battery like nuts..!About the brad nailer itself, I like it very much. As usual, exterior made of quality material, rubber back housing is easy to grab from standing position. I shot over 300 nails so far on my first day, without a hitch. Very quiet, powerful enough, not too heavy at all. Multiple safety features! LED light! From Porter Cable, I own 2 drill set, reciprocating tigersaw, circular saw, and this brad nailer, two batteries and charger came with the drill set. So far, I like Porter Cable very much. I also own various de-walt tools and other brands, but I keep coming back to porter cable for two reasons:#1 - my favourite store Lowe's carry this brand!#2 - Porter Cable offers best value to me as a multiple house owner. Occasional renovation from time to time, porter cable and de-walt both lasted 5 years for me, why would I spend more on a de-walt?Seriously Porter Cable, if I can get a battery, I'll take it...
