The ricer did the job, but I think if you used this regularly, you would end up with forearms like Popeye as it took some effort to squeeze the boiled potatoes through the mesh. For those who can afford it, I think an attachment for a Kitchenaid mixer to do the same job would be worth it, especially if you are already going to be exhausted from preparing a large holiday meal.

You can only put about three quarters of a cup or a half a potato in at a time. The different size holes comes in handy. Does have some sharp edges be careful all cleaning item.

Since I bought this ricer, I find making mashed potatoes a breeze.I am so glad I bought it because it is made with quality materials.Not only is it sturdy, it is so easy to use and very easy to clean too.The long handle with the silicone pad as well as the rubber nob atthe head of this ricer which can be rested onto the pot surely makeit easier for me to use it. I find this particular potato ricer is really a greatvalue for the money because of its fine quality and is lower in price thanother seller of the same design.

I love this ricer very much. It is made of good quality stainless steel which would not rust. The silicone pad on the handle helps me grip it effortlessly. It is well made and easy to use. I find using a ricer is so much better and easier than using a normal potato masher. After putting the potato into the main chamber, squeeze the handle together and a really smooth mash potato will come out through the holes. The rubber nob at the head of it can be rested on the pot and this certainly help to make the process even easier.

The first time I used this the metal screen bent, and I was just trying to rice potatoes that I boiled, and were soft. This product is defective.
