I have a cricut joy model number JCTR101 (basic cricut joy) and this does NOT fit. It is too large and unlike some other comments I was not sent an adapter or different connector to attach to the top. Just out of curiosity I attempted to see if it would work for my maker and it doesn’t fir that either…… my joy was purchased about a year and half to two years ago. The model number matched the description but the plug does NOT fit.

I had gotten this thinking that it would work for my Explore Air, it was listed on the description since I wanted to make sure this would be compatible. When I received it, the main plug was too small for my model.I reached out to the seller and they notified me that it was only compatible with the Cricut Joy and Explore Air 2. They offered a refund and responded quickly, however, so I am pleased with the after order service.

I picked up a cheap Cricut Joy, cheap because it did not have a cord. This solved my problem. The cord is designed to work with a range of Cricut machines, but I purchased it specifically for a Cricut Joy. The cord came with two different barrel plug ends (the round kind of power connector) since apparent the Joy uses a different one than other devices. In any case it worked without and issue and I was up and cutting.
