When movement is sensed, a signal is sent to the RF receiver to indicate someone is in the area. The battery-powered sensor has a 120-degree motion-detection zone with a range of up to 25ft. With a reach of up to 150ft. between the motion sensor and receiver, the system is prefect for spaces of any size. The sensor is rated for outdoor use in dry locations while the receiver must be placed indoors. Volume settings feature alarms of up to 50dB and up to 70dB to meet your needs. Silent mode deactivates the alarm and only indicates movement with a flashing LED on the receiver. A mounting bracket and hardware are provided for a fast, simple installation. By not requiring wiring, the sensor and receiver each operate using three AA batteries (not included). Additional motion sensors are sold separately and can be paired to the receiver for whole-home peace of mind. Years ago I bought my dad a fake security camera to put on the back of his house because he knew the neighbour was sabotaging his garden and car tires. The day it was installed was the last time he had any issues, so these fake cameras do help. I decided to get this little cam for my condo door because you can't be too safe these days. I already had a security sticker on the door that people have noticed, and just moved along. I know this because my neighbour across the hall has a video cam set up on her door and we've seen the footage. So I'm confident this little fake cam will help boost the security in the neighbourhood.

Looks very realistic. Easy to install. The batteries that operate the blinking red light lasted over 6 months — including the cold winter time.
