Performs about the same as the OEM rack did IMO after about 1,000 miles. Just feels a little tighter/less silky which I don't mind and the difference could be due to my addition of an inline power steering fluid filter. I'll try to remember to report back at around 10-20,000 miles. Fingers crossed for some longevity out of this part because it’s hard to believe you can make a new part like this for under $300 without a core and I have no desire to do it again.Do your homework if you're doing this DIY. You just need basic mechanics knowledge, but the job can be a bit tedious due to tight working spaces. I found a universal joint socket adapter very helpful if not required to complete the job. Some may need a crowfoot socket to get the hydraulic lines, but I used a wrench or pliers.I changed my rack & pinion out with the car propped up in the driveway, but a lift would’ve made it much easier because you may need to do work from above to below the engine bay depending on your approach. By tilting the entire rack & pinion slightly up on the driver’s side and down on the passenger’s side as I was inserting the rack & pinion from drivers side. To position the rack & pinion for the widest spot available to get the pinion gear assembly to clear the subframe and metal tubing on the other side of it, rotate the whole rack & pinion forward about 90 degrees from the way it will be once secured to steering wheel. By rotate, I mean that once it's mostly inserted into the 'tunnel' that the rack & pinion goes into, rotate it to the position mentioned while the pinion gear assembly is on the outside of the subframe. It was somewhat of a challenge for me to get the pinion gear assembly to the side of the subframe that it needs to be on to mate with the steering column through a small opening. It's tight, but I managed to do it without removing any mounts (except for the rack & pinion mounts), subframe components, or other items listed in many instruction sets. I chose to leave the boot on the pinion assembly off until I had the rack & pinion in position. Good Luck. This YouTube video kind of demonstrates the positioning at about 23 minutes. He mentions that he had already removed some things that you don’t have to before realizing it was possible to tilt it in. I only removed the tires, outer tie rod ends, steering wheel connection, and the rack & pinion assembly. Thanks to YouTuber ‘RB the mechanic’ for the video and saving me from messing with motor mount and subframe bolts.Advice: Go ahead and replace the outer tie rod ends. The completely new rack & and Pinion plus tie rod ends dramatically improved my driving experience. No more fine vibration in the steering wheel or pedal. No more clunk sound when I move after going forward to reverse. Feel much safer.

As recommended by another reviewer, I measure it to make sure it's around 41.5" long before installing. Brought to my mechanic and so far it's driving good for about 100 miles now.

So when my rack went i was worried about finding a good replacement and brand to get my car back on the road, I cam across this one and so far so good, everything worked like it should and car is back up and running (06 TSX), Just a note, when you first get your car back from the shop you will notice that the steering is tighter but that will go away as the rack starts to lubricate and get the fluid going thru it,will update if any problems arise after wardsif you need one.. buy this one

Installed easily. However, boot ripped 5 months after install. Ensure you loosen nearest clamp when you tighten the tie rod so the boot doesn't get scrunched. Its been 5 months since I installed so maybe I didn't do this (or maybe I did) or the boot ripped on its own.

I was extremely skeptical about buying this steering rack from Amazon, my oem unit spilled oil everywhere and I needed to act quick. Purchased this rack and lucky me this worked perfectly! The oem rack on the tsx is a pain to remove but after installing this one from Amazon the pain was worth it! Highly recommendDisclaimer: please use some common sense when installing the rack. Measure our your inner tie rods to the ends of the rack to preset your alignment. Some folks like to complain the rack is longer on one side than the other, it is not the case.

Delivery of the product was bumpy, but the vendor made it right. Waiting on my deposit to refund after they receive their incorrect part back. This Rack and Pinion assembly worked great. Fit perfectly and so far I have had no issues with it. Glad to have spent less on a new product than more on a refurbished one. Would recommend this vendor and this part to all 2004 - 2007 Acura TSX owners who need to replace their worn Rack and Pinion.
