I've been using the Powerextra NP-F970 Multifunctional Battery Pack (10050mAh) for a few weeks now, primarily to power my monitor, and it works amazingly well. The battery's high capacity ensures that my monitor stays powered for extended periods without needing frequent recharges. The LCD display is a nice touch, providing a clear readout of the remaining battery life, which helps me plan my shoots better. The USB output is another handy feature, allowing for the charging of smaller devices. However, as a side note, I attempted to use the USB port to power my Blackmagic 6K camera, but it couldn’t handle the 12V requirement. While it’s excellent for monitors and other lower-power devices, it’s not suited for high-power demands like a 12V camera. As I bought it thinking it would power both camera and monitor its a bit unfortunate. Mabye the seller can state the wattage output so that others don't get misinformed.Overall, this battery pack is a reliable and efficient power solution for various devices, though it’s essential to match the power requirements for optimal performance.

These types of batteries have come a long way. I ran an external monitor (Atomos Ninja V) that has a removable SSD hard drive for recording video directly to the unit for around an hour and my battery was still at 77%. I also love being able to charge it on the USB-C and having a digital read out. Really happy with this purchase.

I like the charge indicator light. It’s a little bigger than anton Bauer batteries but I like the usb charging. I use it on a Small HD 702 touch.

So the stock battery and charger for the atoms ninja charges at 200mw and takes about 10 hours to charge. This battery accepts a charge of 8w which is 40 times faster. A few of these and you’ll have power to run all day

Update 5-18-2022:Be very, VERY careful when using the USB output port because you may drain the battery below a recoverable charge state. I was using a battery to run an audio recorder. When the battery was exhausted, it would no longer charge either by USB or a Sony-compatible charger. I also tested the battery with a volt meter and the result was 0.00 volts. Since I bought a pair of batteries, I'm sending this dead battery back and will keep the second unit as a spare. But I'll never use the USB port to power any devices. Being able to charge the battery via USB is a feature my Watson batteries don't have, but my confidence in the capabilities of the Powerextra products is as dead as this battery is.Original review below:I bought two of these Powerextra batteries to use with my Atomos Ninja V video monitor/recorders. I've been using the Watson NP-F970 batteries (aka B-4238) and both batteries claim the same capacity of 10,050 mAh, 74.37 Wh, and 7.4 volts. But the Powerextra have significantly lower capacity than the Watson. When recording on the Ninja V in ProRes 422 LT, 59.94 fps, the recorded clip length is 3 hours 19 minutes, whereas the Watson batteries record for 4 hours 11 minutes. That's 51 minutes more recording time, and the Powerextra batteries are brand new, whereas the Watson batteries are 1.5 years old. Therefore, either the Powerextras have less capacity than advertised, or the Watsons have higher than advertised capacities. Assuming it's the former, the Powerextra batteries have about 7800 mAh of capacity. Also, the physical dimensions of the batteries are vastly different. (See photo.)Since the Powerextra batteries cost a lot less ($44.00 vs $69.00), I don't feel too bad about the lower capacity. Plus, the Powerextras have more features like USB output power and can be charged via USB-C or Micro USB ports. If you need to recharge and you forgot to bring a battery charger, the USB charging capabilities might save your bacon. (Note: 5-volt USB charging will take a long time and do not work with higher output 9-volt chargers.)The other nice feature of the Powerextra batteries is the LCD display that shows battery capacity (in four 25% segments) and voltage. That allows you to check the charge state of the battery without connecting it to a device that displays the charge state. While the extra features of the Powerextra batteries are nice, recording time is the most important feature to me. Because of that, I'll continue to purchase the Watson batteries. Still, it's nice to have a more flexible pair of batteries like the Powerextras in my bag for unexpected power or charging needs.

I bought a pair of (claimed) 8800mAh batteries and they were quite a bit cheaper than the Powerextra batteries. My 8800mAh batteries lasted for about 2.5 hours in my light set (GVM 1200D) so I was pretty happy with that. But they were very basic and lacked the extra functionality of these batteries. So after dithering around for a bit I decided to take the plunge and pay the extra $ for these. I am super glad that I did because these batteries blow me away. The screen is more useful than you might expect, the ability to charge them using a standard USB charger is a major plus. But what really blew my socks off is that in the same light set I got nearly 6 hours of full power light. that is slightly more than twice what the so-called 8800mAh batteries delivered. One CON: though, I bought 4 of them and 3 of them work perfectly, but one of them is very finicky about charging, it only charges via USB and it takes longer to charge. so semi-defective but usable. not sure what the warranty covers.
