This product was purchased to convert the planner knives on an older Makita hand planner, Model 1900B that was purchased with HSS blades some 40 years ago. This product enabled the conversion from HSS blades to carbide blades. The blade alignment tool that came with the original purchase was utilized to set the carbide blades to the correct alignment before installing onto the cutter head. Although the description of the product does not indicate,it can be used as the conversion kit for the Makita 1900B router, it does the job very well. Have tested the installed product and it produces a fine, smooth cut. Highly recommend if a conversion from HSS cutters to carbide is being considered.

Good strong blades for a great price. A new set plate with each pack is nice too. I use my planer almost every day. I will be buying more of these.
