I purchased the 148030 HSS knives for my delta 37-190. Then I saw the 148031 was a lower price and bought them as well for a back up.I took out the old delta blades and was about to install the 148030 when I noticed the concavity of the new blades. So I have returned them. I received also the 148031 and check the flatness of these blades and the two sets I purchased were both concave. I ordered a new set of 148030 and they were flat on the jointer bed and have installed them and they work well.I do not know what the differences are between the 148030 and 148031? I measured both with a micrometer and they are equivalent. I can not tell if the blades are different hardness. This seems to be an issue that others have found. Overall though, I have used the blades on hard and softwoods for over 100 bd ft and they work well. So 4 stars once I got the set that was flat

Be careful handling these! They're really sharp. And the price is low enough that I don't think I'm ever going to bother re-grinding jointer knives again, I'll just buy another set of these.

Great blades and fit perfectly in my Delta Jointer. They are really sharp and I can't believe how easy the wood glides over them. They leave a smooth face and edge everytime. Mine are held in with pressure plates, so I had to make sure they were even with the outfeed table. The blades are very straight and strong.

Arrived earlier than expected, better price than stores, was required to replace blades in jointer. They fit, they work the same as the original blades, I am very pleased with this product.

What can one say about three planer blades that hasn't been said before? The blades arrived sharp and worked well in my Delta 6" planer.

I got an old Delta jointer from... has to be the 70's. The blades were pretty well rusted, and certainly could have been sharpened but the surfaces were a little uneven and for $15, these new blades were razor shop and perfectly flat. My jointer is running tons of material through without a problem. Certainly outperforming expectations at the price point. However if your blades are just a bit rusty or dull, but still perfectly flat try sharpening them first. Depending on the jointer you have, especially if they take this type of blade, leveling the new blades to the out-feed table can be painstaking.

Nice and sharp right out of the package. Thicker steel than the stock blades in my old Delta, but they fit when I cleaned the slots out more completely. These and my new magnetic blade setter (Woodstock W121A) were very easy to load and use. Silky smooth cuts like I haven't had for a long time.

These fit the old Delta 37-280, also. Very nice two bevel edges, dead true, cut nicely. I was concerned about the thickness of these blades being 1/32 thinner, given the obnoxious blade clamping scheme of the 37-280. Fortunately, that is fine.I have nothing good to say about about the Delta 37-280; with a flexing fence, no outfeed table adjustment, no blade lifters, and a badly designed and manufactured clamping arrangement that tends to shift the blades it is , I plan on at least 2 hours of misery to get blades set via dial gauge with magnetic base. I highly recommend avoiding the 37-280 on the used market, at any price.

These blades are an excellent replacement for my jointer. (Delta 37-190C)I bought it used and assume that the previous owner ran a bunch of nails through on the old blades. The quality of these blades is quite high for the price. Have since ran walnut, maple, birch and some pine through them and they all come out smooth as silk.Keep in mind, this review is based on the fact that I never run more than 1/16th passes, usually 1/32nd or less.
