This tree is definitely artificial looking (so 4 stars) but so cute. It is soft fringed material on easily bendable branches. I didn't need the lights, so removed them and I gotta say that they are very well secured and dispersed among the branches. I never tried the lights so I don't know how they work. I put it in my own pot and it suits my needs for a small tree. I didn't care for the top branch being so long and tall above the tree so I bent it back down and it looks more natural shaped. I did this with maybe 3 other long branches. The tree is quite full so you can hide the central trunk. Some of the fringes (very few) reflect the light and don't match the rest of the green. Perhaps it gives it dimension? Bottom line is that, while not realistic, it is pleasing and the right size for my needs. Given that I couldn't find anything else this size that looked any more realistic, I'd order it again. Oh, and there's no bad smell!!

Cute little tree I was planning to add to my living room mantel. Unfortunately, the tiny lights that came attached to the branches did not light. The batteries were in the proper placement, since I checked that first.. oh well.

I like the shape of the tree. However the lights could be arranged much better. This was disappointing as you cannot change the distribution of the lights since they are attached. So there is too many lights at the bottom and none in the middle.

This little tree was perfect for the small space I needed it for. The lights have 6 modes and are well placed.

Just the size I was expecting and wanted. However there seems to be a row of tree limbs missing lights. It may be that I need to fluff it better.

This tree is cute but it does not light up as described. It requires AA batteries and the compartment where you place the batteries had the wrong directions of which end the batteries face, and there is plastic covering the metal where the battery would make the connection. We tried a few different batteries, and even tried to place them backwards like their directions, but they didn’t work. If you don’t care about the lights, it’s a cute tree.

It is what it is. You get exactly as advertised, but I saw basically the same product on sale at my local dollar store for 1/10 the price.
