The Tusk panniers on my bike came with two of these and a collection of other inconvenient straps. I used a soldering iron to put holes in these after doubling the nylon over and replaced the existing straps by putting the existing bolt through these. Much easier to adjust, trimmed easily to fit, and better grip. The metal buckle seems plenty sturdy for the application.

For the price, these are great. They safely and securely held my surfboard to the roof rack of the car for multiple trips. Only reason I’m putting 4 stars instead of 5 is that you do have to be careful how you strap these on because I ended up scratching the finish on my roof and digging into the surf board the first few times I used it. If you are aware of that risk and careful about how you orient things you can avoid that, but other more expensive designs reduce the likelihood of that

I had to raplace the foot straps on my Concept 2 and these worked allot better, they actually hold my feet in place.

The straps are good and sturdy. I used one to strap the battery down on my RV after having lost the strap and lid on a rough road. Of course I had to buy a new battery box. The buckle holds well and the strap stays tight.

I used the straps on trail cameras and it worked great. The original straps, that came with the cameras, had deteriorated after a few years. These straps made great replacements and seemed better, thicker, than the original’s.
