The color is similar to other espresso items I have purchased, just slightly lighter in color, but passable. There were more screws and fewer quick connect coupling then I am used to with self-assemble furniture, which I think is a huge plus. I feel like the furniture is very sturdy. The laminate is very thin and will likely scratch easily, so I don't have a lot of hope for longevity, but the overall quality is better than I expected at this price point.For the hooks, they come with #6-1/2" wood screws to hold in the hooks. But the tapped holes for the wood screws go all the way through the wood laminate piece. So my solution was to purchase:1-1/4" long #8-32 screws x 8#8 nuts x 81-1/2" corner braces x 4The holes in the corner braces lined up perfectly with the hooks. We installed ours catty-corner, but if you have it flush you'll need to cut the corner braces in half. I drilled out the holes and ran the #8 screws through the entire unit and used the corner braces as washers to add stability. The screws are barely long enough, but I was able to get the nuts started and tighten them down. This simple change gave me a LOT more confidence in hanging bags on the hooks. Without this, you shouldn't put anything with weight on the hooks. Those #6-1/2" wood screws offer little to no structural support.

Was EXACTLY what I needed right by the door to my garage! I love it! All those coats and hoodies, and purses and stuff kept ending up thrown over the arm of a chair or couch. That basket was for shoes and they are now in the cabinets below. (I was still adjusting the doors when I took the picture... they were a little tricky to get just right, but that is because I am a perfectionist and they have the ability to be adjusted in a billion ways lol)

Looks nice, but like others have said nothing labelled, very flimsy. We actually broke it trying to put it together, we are just gonna get a board to secure it. Ended up with bottom board upside down, and well we are just leaving it cause it will be covered by the doors once we are done. Honestly disappointed for the money I paid for it.

After reading some mixed reviews, I took the risk and purchased. It arrived in mint condition - not the sturdiest, but it adds a modern touch to the front room. Don’t hesitate and purchase.

It’s just mdf and the back of it is like what you use on a cheap book case. I feel like $200 is a bit pricy for what it is but it’s sturdy, looks nice enough and does the job. None of the pieces were labeled so it took a bit longer to figure out what everything was but overall pretty easy to assemble. I did it in a couple hours while taking my time and watching tv at the same time. I was worried that it would get destroyed in shipping but it’s actually packaged really well. They’d have to toss it around pretty good to cause damage in shipping.

*Review update. This is a piece of trash, it's NOT REAL WOOD, it is terrible particle board and if I could give negative stars I would. It broke with simple coats on it, exactly what it was designed for. Don't waste your money.This item is nice once it is put together which took about an hour. The directions are vague in some spots but all in all it was pretty straight-forward. It is solid but the back is like a piece of paneling and I read in description it was all wood. For what we needed it fits the space nicely and is what our family needed for organization.

This hall tree was easy to build. Recommend a 2-person assembly. My husband and I put it together in less than an hour. It looks nice and is able to hold both of our very heavy work backpacks plus coats and my purse without issue.Upon opening the box and inspecting all of the parts, we noticed that one of the doors had been damaged in shipment. It wasn't that bad, but it would have been noticeable and probably would have worsened over time. Ordering a replacement door was a breeze! The instructions are very clear and are included, and all part numbers for the pieces are included in the instruction booklet as well. The new door arrived in I think about 2 or 3 days and we were able to pop it on and complete our cabinet.I have received several compliments on the piece from friends and family because of how nice it looks when complete.

I love my hall tree! It looks great in my space, priced well and a prefect fit for my style. The assembly was fairly easy it took about 1.5 hour. You need a drill...The sturdiness is ok. Mine is placed in a nook. You’d want to secure it so it doesn’t tip over if you will be putting heavy things on the hooks. Some reviews talked about having defects. Fortunately mine was ok. The shipping didn’t damage it, packed well.

Works great for our mudroom. Holds all our winter gear and a diaper bag with no issues. My husband said the directions weren't the best for assembly but was able to do it by himself. The materials used aren't high end, but the price point was good and it doesn't look cheap.

really nice piece of furniture. the only small thing i don't like is the backing. it's made of thick cardboard or whatever they use for it. but you can't really notice it if you're looking at it from a distance
