Product Description

Primary Arms SLX 3x32mm Gen III Prism Scope - ACSS-300BLK/7.62x39 Reticle - PAC3XAK-GENIII-300BO

This Primary Arms prism scope is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics built their reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The Primary Arms Gen III 3X Compact Prism Scope with the improved ACSS-300BLK/7.62X39 reticle is the lightweight, do-everything scope. The low 3X magnification and bright illuminated reticle allow for fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close range, while the ACSS reticle allows for easy hits on targets out to an impressive 600 yards with supersonic ammunition and 225 yards with subsonic.

The heart of our tough Gen III 3X Prism Scope is the improved ACSS-300BLK/7.62x39 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for closer ranges. Each side of the horseshoe also has our integrated ranging system. Two dots on either side of the precision chevron offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 6.1 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. The glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition, or enhanced visibility in fading light.

The SLx 3X Gen III has even greater strength and flexibility than ever before with our next generation ruggedized mounting system. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque.

I was leery. I was skeptical. I hear how clear, how nice, how Great. And then get it. And it's ho-hum at best. Well not this time. It's everything they said and more. Fantastic glass. I mean crystal clear. Ultra clear. And the reticle is superb...!!! It's everything they say and more. I own an ACOG and it is not as clear as this. I own a GPO scope and it's about a tie. It's well worth the money and then some. Everything from build to illumination to everything is 5 stars. There is nothing ho-hum about it. As soon as you first look through it you go WOW...!!! Fantastic piece of glass. Everyone has an opinion. I rate it 10 for 10. Well worth every dime I paid for it. And it's a rare day I can say that about anything. Peace.

the reticle is super crisp contrasty and has many brightness settings, onced focused for the owner, the clarity of picture is amazing, the knobs are crisp and not wobbly or loose, the caps tighten securely and seal well, comes with the tools u need and the machining and coating is beautiful but a little too glossy for my taste.., this is going to be a great little optic and the quality and craftsmanship are the real deal. the weight of it alone tell you its not junk .. i will be buying more primary arms for my other rifles and pistols, i use vortex and holsun, the build quality of this is on par those. but remember this aint a 2k dollar optic..i watched a buddy beat the hell outa this thing..(not mine...his)i mean chipped glass and bent front ring.. and remounted and it held zero... i have discovered that it does flare when are shooting into the sun, but thats to be expected, again this is not 2k dollar glass. so i added a front diffuser and the flare is gone, adds a couple grams. no biggee.also i noticed that you have to keep your eye directly behind the front or you will lose sight picture, from the edges of the sight pic going dark, i noticed my acog does not do this as easily. but its a 2k optic, so it does have a couple shortcoming but for the price again, this thing is no joke. im looking to use the same type of optic on all my rifles and i might just be using all primary arms..thank you primary arms.

This is my first primary arms purchase, but I have no complaints. I bought this for a 300 blackout. I love the reticle and the different features. One of my favorite features is the dots to the right and left to use if your target is on the move, which is great for coyotes! The brightness is plenty bright, but in all honesty I don’t even turn it on in normal light, the black is very clear. This is a 3x zoom, and I knew that going in, if and when I buy another I will go 5x or more, I’m getting older and need all the help I can get haha!

This is the perfect optic for my Ruger 9mm Carbine (with the M-Lok hand guard) . Super clear with a bright reticle, that mounts and looks like it was made for the rifle. 3X is the perfect balance for near in targets and those out to 150 yards or so. The rear mounting position and generous eye relief also make this a good choice.

I'm new to rifle shooting and optics. I was looking for my first AR scope; something 2-3x magnification that would be reliable, easy to learn, and useful at 0-200 yards. I also have severe astigmatism, so red dots are a no-go. After reading way too many articles and forum posts about the merits of various LVPO vs prism sights, I took the plunge and bought this Primary Arms 3x prism scope. From my novice perspective, this scope is fantastic. The included picatinny mount feels sturdy and was easy to install (though I ended up buying a riser separately because the FSB was obscuring my sight picture). The illumination, windage, and elevation turrets are a little stiff, but move positively with no slop or wiggle. The view through the scope is exceptionally clear and zeroing was surprisingly easy: using a laser boresight I was dead-on in five shots. And the reticle is useful for both close range and longer shots. 3x magnification is truly a sweet spot.Rifle optics are remarkably complex. There are so many products out there, and very few of them are one-size-fits-all. This scope works well for me and my needs, but there's no guarantee that it'll work equally well for you.If you're buying your first scope, take the time to do your research. Figure out what kind of shooting you'll be doing and what you need from a scope to accomplish it. Narrow your search down to a few finalists. Then study expert and user reviews of each and find the right balance of cost, weight/bulk, and features. Good luck!

Easy to sight in, easily shot 2“inch groups at 100y with off shelf ammo (Not impressive to some but great for my 60 yr. old eyes and I never claimed to be a good shot). Able to acquire target with both eyes open then transition over to 1 eye. Didn’t have to search for target. I didn’t shoot out past 100 yards but the reticle was super easy to see, use, and the range indicator seemed to be correct. Overall, well worth the money. Debated over the 3x vs the 5x but I do most of my shooting @ 150y or less, 3x allowed me to feel confident at that range but still have a good field of view for targets in as close as 25. If you have tired eyes like mine and want to shoot out to 150-300 maybe look @ the 5x, but I think you’ll be happy either direction you go. Didn't score durability because I haven’t had it long enough to evaluate that yet. hope that helps ..

First experience with Primary Arms and I’m super super impressed! First I have to say I researched different optics for nearly a month straight and felt like after everything I read the PA SLX Gen 3 optic was the way to go and boy was that right! As soon as I opened the Amazon box I see a super nice package that comes with everything you need and more. The optic feels very high quality, the glass is crystal clear and the ACSS optic is outstanding! By far the best optic for the money I’ve ever seen in my opinion. For under $300 you can’t go wrong!Definitely a lifetime Primary Arms customer here now!
