This item accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors that have 2-1/8 inch bore sizes with a backset of 2-3/8 inch The width of this door guard is 3-7/8 inch and it is 4-1/2 inch tall. These door reinforcers are easy to install and they are used by many. All installation fasteners are included with this item.

It took some modifications to get it to work. I had to cut the end of it because it was too short for my lock set. Then I had to grind down the back of kiwkset faceplate so it would sit flush in the reinforcer. Oh and I had to grind the holes too so the screws would sit flush too. In the end though I managed to get it all to fit. PIA though.

Amazing just what I was looking for and needed. So my door got busted in while locked and the hole in the door got ripped so there wasn't anything solid to attach a door knob to. This meant I went for a while without privacy however I got fed up and started looking for a solution. This product was one of the first and quite frankly the best option price wise, since I didn't want to drop money on something I wasn't sure it would work. Well it worked like a charm, it was easy to install didn't even need a drill, just a screw driver and a little bit of elbow grease. If you are in a situation like mine where you have a hole in the actual door knob area this is the product for you. Also if the wall side of the door is busted I would recommend the security door strike it's a longer piece of metal with more holes for screw. I finally have my privacy back. Only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because I was told it would arrive overnight between 7am-11am and it didn't arrive until 2pm. However product wise it's a 5/5 stars.

If you ever have to break in your own home and damage the area around the lock this is a good solution instead of buying a whole door

This was too narrow for my door. Luckily, someone had a thin interior door it fit. Other than that, great product!

Had some doors in a rental that were really bad. Looks like the tenant kicked them in causing splinters along the door knob. Given that they’re actual wooden doors (not the light foam/cheap doors) I decided to fix them with this. A nice couple of paint coats later and the doors look impressive!
