Another reviewer said he used these for a spring loaded desk lamp that was sagging. Baloney. They are WAY too strong for a desk lamp. You won't be able to stretch the 6" length much beyond 7" without tools and even then, it wouldn't work for a desk lamp. I solved the drooping lamp problem by installing a smaller/lighter bulb...

Very happy with the performance of these springs. They provide the "give" I need in the line to allow for flexing without breaking. Easy to use with the "ring" ends.
