This door knocker is constructed of diecast metal and comes in a satin nickel plated finish. It is a knocker-only and has no door viewer built into it. This knocker mounts onto the exterior surface with provided fasteners, and it can be mounted on doors of any thickness, of 1-3/8 inches and above.

The metal was SO thin, there was actually two pin holes. Yes, you can see light thru 2 pin holes. The backside of the knocker has casting/injection "plugs" and it appears that two of them fell off, leaving two pin holes. The product comes with two 1" wood screws which may not be ideal if you're mounting this on a metal door.

I bought this to go on a busy board I made my toddler. It is easy to install and works exactly how a door knocker should. It is holding up really well (and that's from hard play by a toddler; I'm assuming it would hold up even better with normal use on a front door).
