I just did a big custom cabinet built in for a neighbor. Luckily I got this right before installation day. Their walls were completely out of square and not flat. In no time, I scribed the lines, cut them with a jigsaw, and get them installed nice and flush.I saw this demoed on a video by Bourbon Moth woodworking. By using two sets of biscuits 1/2” apart on the face frame, I was able to perfectly scribe a 1/2” line and then the face frame clicked right in, perfectly aligned.

I've been using this scribe professionally since 2018 and it still works great. Scoring the material makes a huge difference because the material won't chip and break while you're working it. The blade is almost useless now, but I can sand it sharp enough for my purposes. It is extremely useful and accurate; everybody else onsite is jealous. The line it scores is very hard to see on raw material, works great for dark colors where a pencil disappears. Love the increments of 1/16"s up to a full 1/2". The magnet is useless, don't let them fool you it won't find any studs. I think it is too expensive though, and I can't bring myself to buy replacement blades. Overall pretty dam good.

Glue from the manufacturing process is smeared all over the tool and is cured so cannot be removed. The bottom panel of the tool was poorlu glued together and sits slightly seperated from the tool, but again the assembly glue has tried so this cannot be corrected. It's a shame. If this tool was manufactured with a little more care, it would be a great product. I would not recommend anybody who wants a nice tool to buy this.

the plastic wasn't attached to the aluminum properly, on either side. one side was completely off while the other side was partially attached. I tried to glue them on as I didn't want to return this item. Well, the glue made its way into the slots and the razor cannot slide in properly. This tool is NOT worth the money.

made well...seems a bit pricey and magnetic force is only strong enough to attach itself to your keys in your pocket. don't count on it finding studs ...buy a stud finder.

Easy to use and the multiple depth settings. I used it for scribing cabinet skins to uneven drywall walls
