I looked at 50+ sets of sai on Amazon and elsewhere. This pair was a reasonable price, had a few good reviews, and were the size I was looking for. I had 2 requirements: I didn't want to pay over $100 and absolutely would not buy a pair that were made by spot welding tines onto a central shaft which is how many of the cheaper sai are constructed (notice how the "moto" or central point is wrapped in cheap sai to cover that up). I have been using them now for a few weeks to learn Okinawan kobudo kata and they have served me well. I'm just learning the sai and this is my first set, so I don't have much to compare to, but they feel solid, perform well, and as a bonus they look really nice on the wall. The only issue I have had is that the wrapping was basically taped at the top. I immediately knew that wouldn't hold up and they have started to come unwrapped. I talked to a martial arts instructor who recommended putting a little dab of construction glue under the wrapping, so I tried that yesterday. We'll see if it holds up. If not, I'll probably just replace the leather with some nice tennis racquet grip tape.

low quality, defects in the chrome. Also the base of the handle has sharp edges. paid too much.

These sais are good quality sais. They feel balanced and sturdy. I don't see why anyone would ever need a another pair. These will last for many years.

I've been training with sai blades for over 13 years now. These are by far my favorite brand.The balance and weight are excellent and the quality is much higher than you will find with most other models out there.I highly recommend these for any martial artist who wants to learn to weild sai.
