About this item

  • Made of African Sapele Mahogany
  • Great for electric/acoustic guitar, bass, banjo, or mandolin
  • Folds up to the size of your headstock for easy travel, yet sturdy enough to support your most valued instrument

You’ve never seen a guitar stand like this one. Cooperstand addresses the typical stringed instrument support device in a completely new and non-typical way. It's extremely stable, opens and closes with one hand and fits in the headstock area of most guitar cases.

The Cooperstand on first look is an attractive display stand. The wood is nicely finished and the product is functional. However on close inspection, there is a thin strip of wood at a critical place in the support. As others have pointed out, this can crack without extra caution. Therefore, I feel this is more of a display stand than a functional "working" stand. I was quite disappointed that the product is made in China!

For sturdiness, the back legs make all the difference. I bought a similar wooden stand off Etsy, and my guitar would tip backwards with the slightest touch. Also, I expected from the other reviews that this was some super fragile piece of equipment, so I watched the YouTube video about opening a bunch of times. Turns out it's nowhere near that delicate. Just handle it like a nicely made piece of equipment that compliments your nice instrument. Got a beater guitar or looking for no worry stage use, get the plastic one or a standard stand. This fits perfectly in my case and looks like it was made to go with my guitar.

This stand has caught the eyes of my fellow musicians. They all like the sleek wood look and how small it folds up in a velvet bag. I have had other much larger metal and plastic stands but his little thing works just as good if not better. Easy to unfold and set up. plus easy to break down. The price is a little high, but real wood and cool design make up for the cost. Glad I purchased.

Good product, and rather nice looking! So compact. Somewhere I read it was the size of a headstock - no way (even larger than a D'Angelico!) but easily fit in a fender case box with other accessories.

Broke the second time I used it. When I talked to company, they said “You must have opened it wrong.” Asked if I could exchange they said “No, so many people open it wrong, so we can’t.”Hm...if so many people do it wrong, isn’t that a flawed design?I perform all over the US and Europe. I have gear that has travelled many years and several thousands of miles...point is, I know how to take care of my stuff. Pay this much for a guitar stand, one would expect it to last more than 2 gigs.Telling your customer they’re just not smart enough to use a guitar stand is not great customer service or business practice.

You can't go wrong with this sturdy stand. I use it for ukulele, guitar and mandolin. Folds and unfolds easily, comes with a drawstring carrying case. The instruments do not slip around on the stand.

This is the best bit of kit that I have encountered since playing guitar. It has a simple folding design and can hold different size instruments safely and securely. This stand comes in a beautiful presentation bag and although not cheap, it is definitely worth the money. I play around three hours of classical guitar a day and this stand allows me to leave the instrument standing safely between sessions. It also looks attractive with its wood design and blends into any furniture setting.

compact and portable - fits in the case or outside in the pocket of a gig bag.Well made - simple -holds the guitar stable as long as you don't have kids or animals running around, it is stable and should be fine. for those with more expensive guitars, piece of mind might be to use a stand with a kneck U holder as well but for the average guitar or to display, it is fine.thumbs up when used in the right environment

I'd like to retract my previous comments on the CooperStand Pro-G, and acknowledge that Mr. Cooper graciously offered to replace my broken stand even though it was out of warranty at the time. The CooperStand PRO-G guitar stand is an attractive, compact, ingeniously designed guitar stand for acoustic guitars. While my stand cracked into two unrepairable pieces, this my have been due to using it with possibly heavier than normal acoustic instruments i.e 18 string baritone guitar. This model is definately suitable for your typical classic and steel stringed guitars. I highly recommend it to guitarists and I deeply regret any adverse consequences from my earlier comments.
