First of all this product has been tested and received ETL certification which means that a product has passed safety tests and meets North American safety standards.Safety should be Paramount when it comes to electrical devices and water.The electrical cord is very long and includes a class A double insulated Ground Fault Circuit Interruptor (GFCI) plug.The cartridge is a typical type found in most above ground filters, replacements are readily available.The build quality seems robust, there are good O-ring sealed connections for all of the piping and included fittings.The cartridge housing is sealed as well with a large O-ring.I would suggest using the 3 mounting holes on the pump base to secure the pump during use.It is winter in Michigan right now so I can't comment on the flow or noise level. This appears to be a solid value that has great safety features and includes everything needed to connect to my pool and it requires no tools to tighten the hose clamps.

This pump flows great I recommend using a aerator I have one and never used it till now what a difference the only thing I can't figure out is does the electric have a timer in it I emailed the company waiting for a response overall I give this a five-star

We're a young family and are getting above-ground pools, sizing up gradually every other year as the kids grow and I learn to maintain pool water. We're on a 1200 gallon round Intex that included a pump. That pump broke immediately. It was under warranty and a month later its replacement came so we could finally start summer. That pump is not at all powerful and I was constantly vacuuming the pool, cleaning algae out of the pump, clearing out hair (glurph) and replacing filters. To a point I know this is the nature of pool maintenance, but really, I am so happy to have this much more powerful pump by KimFilter. The improvement in clarity will be significant and it is straightforward to set up and change the filters.This pump integrates perfectly with the Intex pool setup- two hoses going to the filter and one hose back to the pool, so no new skills to learn. Plus this pump used A/C sized filter cartridges which are at least twice as large as the H-sized cartridge of the original. It's also much more powerful at 100GPH vs the 330GPH that came with the Intex. This is a significant boost in performance at a reasonable price-point. We don't want to get a larger pool right away but do want to improve what we have based on what we learn each summer. This KimFilter is rated for up to 6800 gallon sized pool so it should work well for our needs for a few more years.While there is an email for contacting the manufacturer, there is no stated warranty like the Intex filter. This gives me pause, because while there is that old saying: if it's got a wararanty it's going to break, I want to know I'm not left high and dry in the first summer if this does unexpectedly break down. While it broke immediately, Intex did snail mail out a replacemetn to us. If anything happens I will have the little Intex filter to fall back on, and will update this review. And I promise I actually will because I am super vindictive. Just kidding. But really, I kind of am.

Bought this for my intex 5×7 pool. It costs almost as much as the pool itself, but will save me time and money not having to empty and refill our little pool every other week when it gets slimy. Works great so far and came with everything needed to set it up.

It's not large in size but it is powerful. It has a long grounded GFCI plug that is thick and sturdy. The hoses are thick plastic and appear well made. Only time will tell if they spring a leak. I alway prefer metal hose clamps that I can tighten with a nut driver. This pump comes with platic ones that turn either by hand or with a pliers. The pump and all its parts are solid. A good value for yur money.

There's not much to review in something like this. Ain't bad to look at. It holds a filter and pumps water very well. The tubing fits tightly and the clamps are secure. I love the thumb screw clamps. Very well done.
