Amo il brand Proaim, motivo per cui ho acquistato diversi loro prodotti, tra cui la steadycam e il dock di aggancio. Basandomi su questa esperienza positiva, ho deciso di prendere anche questo cardellino, che sulla carta sembrava una buona soluzione per fissare accessori leggeri.Va detto subito che non è robusto come i modelli Manfrotto, sia per dimensioni che per capacità di carico. È pensato per reggere carichi leggeri, e in questo ambito fa il suo lavoro. L’ultimo set in cui l’ho usato mi è servito per montare il monitor del DIT (SmallHD con V-Lock da 190Wh) su un palo del suo carrello, utilizzando una ruzzola e uno spigot. Il peso complessivo era inferiore al carico massimo indicato, e infatti è rimasto stabile senza problemi.Un aspetto da considerare è che la parte spigot del cardellino si può svitare, ma non ha blocchi di fissaggio particolarmente sicuri. Questo significa che se ci si aggancia qualcosa, bisogna fare attenzione perché potrebbe ruotare e rischiare di urtare altri oggetti o addirittura cadere.Per quanto ami il brand Proaim, devo riconoscere che, guardando il mercato circostante, 40 euro sono un po’ sopra la media per un prodotto che rimane contenuto nelle sue caratteristiche e dimensioni. Si trova di meglio a prezzi simili, soprattutto in termini di robustezza e sicurezza nei blocchi di fissaggio. Tuttavia, per il tipo di utilizzo per cui è pensato, fa il suo dovere e risulta comunque un buon accessorio da avere nel proprio kit.

Not a quality item. The baby pin is aluminium, not steel. Black parts are not anodized but badly painted, rubber in the clamp is just glued, there is a lot of play in the axle that is damaging the thread. And as the baby pin is screwed, it can rotate depending on the load attached to it, and it does not seems very safe to use. My first Proaim product, and I would not buy again.I would have prefered a solid one-piece steel design, with a 3/8 hole at the end instead of this removable screwed aluminium baby pin.

I was reviewing several clamps and thought I’d toss this one in. It’s like a mini cardellini clamp, at a fraction of the price. Seems well made for what it is and holds well.
