It rains a lot in FL and this helps us keep track better than the local news on how much rain has really fallen. I recommend this to anyone who follows their local weather as well as do you need to water your outdoor plants or lawn.

The numbers are large enough should be easy to read but it’s really not. It’s like condensation builds up in the cylinder. It’s not impossible to read just kind of difficult. Except for that issue, my husband is ok with it.

I Bought it for my husband as a Father’s Day present. I bought it as areplacement rain gauge. He is very pleased with it. It is easy to see the rain that was collected and the numbers. This is the second one that we have purchased. Highly recommend it.

I have this item, and I also have a similar gauge from WeatherYourWay. I bought this one because the WYW gauge was of disappointing quality and was very clumsy. I'm sending the WYW gauge to a friend who says he wants it. This Outback Blue gauge is just what I hoped for.

Gauge is much larger than expected. Also seems cheep. Started a return received label. PO informed me $80.00 to Australia. I didn’t pay $80.00 shipping. What a great insurance policy for the company. It only took 3 days to arrive. It sure didn’t ship from Australia. It shipped from LasVegas Why am I paying for it to go to Australia? So I’m stuck with something I won’t use. Fool me once,Never again! Amazon pay attention. You share in this mishap. Do better by your faithful customers.

On two occasions that it has rained since the gage was installed, the results obtained are grossly in error. The first measured rainfall with this gage was 6.10" and the second rain event it measured 5.75" when in fact the rainfall was 1.5" and 0.9". The inaccuracy I think is the funnel open area is far too large and collects far too much rainfall to accurately record the amount of rainfall. I tossed this device and bought the standard glass tube version. Also, I do not understand the purpose of the surrounding shell with the Australian designed device. To drain the device one has to remove the funnel, the collection tube and the surrounding shell to drain and dry the parts. The collection tube is not easily centered to reattach the funnel. It is a very poorly designed rain gage. I do not recommend anyone consider buying the device.

Les petits pluviomètres vieillissent mal, et sont limités en capacité. Celui-ci est en polycarbonate, et prévoit le débordement...

Works great. Popped this out in the garden and an hour later it was chucking it down! 9.6mm in 24 hours. Is that a record?

I like the chunky look as the flimsy ones do not last in sun -become brittle and are hard to read as numbers same colour as flask this seems a bit more durable and adult

No instructions came with it. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer nor am I the dullest. 3 separate pieces with an attachment point on 2 of them. They don't hold together well to hold up and mark.More importantly it's my fault for not reading everything. I assumed you'd be able to look out and see how much rain fell. You can for the first inch.
