This does just what you need it to do - open wine bottles and beer battles effortlessly. Easy to use, good quality. The little serrated knife helps get the foil off the wine bottle.

I normally use the twist corkscrews, but they are old and beat up, and needed to be replaced so I thought I'd give this one a try. It's exactly as described. It feels like a professional bottle opener. It's sturdy and stable (unlike my old twist openers) with a great weight. And super easy to use.

This corkscrew works well. It's a nice compact size, so it doesn't take up much space in a drawer. The inclusion of a knife for cutting the cap is nice.

I hadn't used one of these types of openers until I got this one, and I like it a lot. You use the lever arms to pull the cork up and once you figure it out, it's a piece of cake. The foil knife takes off the foil pretty easily, just watch that because it is sharp. Folds up nicely and fits in utensil drawer just fine. Great tool.

First impression: it comes in a fold-top brown cardboard box, with the brand name written in large letters in a nice font on the top. The corkscrew is packed in fitted dense black foam. It's good for an informal gift, but you might not want to give it for an occasion that calls for a "classy" gift. The foil cutter is serrated and curved, both of which make it work faster than the one I'm used to using. The corkscrew itself has subtle fluting which helps it cut in better. The pry bar has a hinge with a spring in the middle to allow it to flex to get better leverage starting a cork, then straighten to be able to pull the cork all the way out. It works so much smoother and more easily than the slightly cheaper non-articulated corkscrews. I really did not know it could be so easy before I tried this one.

This is wonderful for traveling and using on cruise ships. The thing to remember is to put it in your checked luggage as TSA will take it for the corkscrew alone not to mention the small knife. It is easy to use just turn into cork place metal catch on rim of bottle and push down cork eases out. This is compact and lightweight so it travels well.

This works as it should as a wine bottle opener, however the foil cutter was not sharp enough to really be of benefit.

If you have fingernails of even modest length, getting the screw/spiral into position should go easier for you. Mine are very short, and the screw/spiral is held in place by a somewhat stiff spring. That, combined with the small spiral diameter and its slightly recessed positioning along the handle, make it a challenge to pull it into position. I had to use a fork tine to get sufficient leverage to pry it into corkscrewing position.I do like the slight curve and serration in the foil cutter blade, which translate to an easier time slicing through thicker metal capsules. The price is okay. Not the most expensive corkscrew on the market (that honor likely goes to a gold/rose gold plated beauty from Campagnolo, those bike component folks in Italy called Big the Corkscrew - The Gold) nor the cheapest. The screw itself looks like it made from solid 1.1mm steel. It’s only been used once so far and did so without getting bent out of shape, but this is another one of those things that only reveal weaknesses over time with more use. There is some side-to-side wibble wobble in both the foil blade and the screw.
