I probably own 50 girths and finally decided that the Professionals Choice contour English girth is my favorite and is the only one I buy now. I’ve had ponies to 17h draft crosses and currently ride a fat pony, a lean smallish mare, and another larger mare, each one a different girth size not to mention that the individual horses go up and down in girth size depending on how much they are working. So I have a lot of girths and I’ve found that this girth fits the different body types very comfortably, the girth stays snug, hoses off easily, looks nice, and is extremely durable. There are definitely decent quality cheaper girths out there but over the years I’ve learned that in the long run I’m better off paying a little more to for.a quality girth that works well and lasts.

First, I don't know why I expected this girth to be leather but I did and it is not. This actually pleased me, it is a very well constructed and sturdy girth. Unfortunately I noticed after just two rides that my mare had large palm sized welts on both sides (noticed because she was suddenly chewing at them) at the girthline. I think perhaps it was the neoprene or the neoprene combined with the very stiff highly structured over-girth portion. I had purchased this girth because I had been advised a contoured girth would help with sideways saddle slip. It did not improve that situation so we'll switch back to our fleece back basic girth for now.

This girth rocks. I love that it comes apart so easily to wash the part in contact with the horse in the washing machine, but stays perfectly in place on the horse. The grip keeps the saddle in place without over-tightening. It’s a beautiful girth and easy to care for while doing a superior job of keeping the saddle in place without suffocating your horse. And the cut back design allows the shoulder more freedom to move.

sensitive horse approves this girth was just perfect not stiff but supportive if a girth doesn't let her breath right she bucks this one was no issue at all she loved it right away. Be careful not to over tighten as there are elastics some might over tighten with
