Bought these today haven't used them, but the line is NOTHING like in the picture. The picture looks like a decently thick nylon rope, like ones on a crab cage, but this one is super thin and cotton. Not sure how it can be durable. Looks like a crab could cut it in one snip. We'll see after I use it.

I went with my grandchildren to Assateauge Island in Virginia where wild horses run all over the island and it's famous as well for the delicious blue crabs you can catch yourself, so I bought them all their own crab line after reading up on the best way to catch them. Very easy to use, solid, and the line is way long so you can throw it out quite a distance. We didn't have any luck catching those little buggers probably because the grandkids were more into watching wild horses trot right by them, one even with a baby colt, but these crabbers were simple and effective; I saw someone else out there with one just like this one he bought from the local store for double what I paid for it and was catching crabs. Missed out on a campfire cooked crab but it was fun~!

It was easy to use, but the quality of the cotton throw line was not great. Mine was broken after 3 throw, but the price was reasonable for what it was and I ordered another one. Overall, this is a good purchase for recreational crabbing. My kids enjoyed using it until it the line was broken.

Caught LOTS of blue crabs! Easy to use and fairly durable. We had a few break, but the kids had a blast!!! Definitely recommended if you are planning on going crabbing!

Good little crab line. Had to tie a better knot on it but no big deal. Works for what it is. No different than any other. Will buy again if I ever need one.
