Biggest waste of money. Cheap, flimsy and won’t catch floating seaweed. There are danielson traps that are cheaper and better made. The snare is 70lb test that doesn’t even open up because the line is too thin. The bait cage will crush if you look at it wrong or sneeze to hard. I expected much better but this junk is going in the trash. This company is now on my garbage don’t buy list.

This snare is very cheap and light weight. The snare loops were wound up into tiny loops that will not open to deploy. They are also made of super light mono-filament line that will not secure a legal sized crab. Don't waste your money!

These are awesome for catching Dungeness or rock crabs. Use them on the regular.

They work but are built cheap and a little fussy to use. Good 1st snare but you will buy higher quality pieces in the future

The snare seems pretty well made, but they don't work as well as other crab traps. I probably won't be buying them again.

The snare loops are way too thin. They don't open all the way up. They just stay in a twisted mess. There are much better snares out there. Buy those instead.

This item did not meet my expectation. The swivel started to rust after the first time I used it. The six loops are made from very thin line which don't even form loops when you do get them open(they sort of roll up). But once you get the loops open they don't stay open, they start to close up before you even cast the snare.I bought a Danielson crab snare after I purchased this one from Promar; right out of the box I can tell the quality difference. I would recommend going with Danielson or any other brand, before purchasing this item.

These Crab Snare 6 loops by Promar are a well made product and will last for quite a while in the saltwater environment of the GOM. The bait basket is large enough to hold enough bait to fish a while and the snares are just the right sized mono to allow them to catch and hold the crabs here in our area. 5 stars for the quality and build. I plan to use them with a rod and reel.
