I fish in South Florida, and use a live well with live bait every weekend for the price of this net you cannot beat it. The only problem I had with my own fault getting a Luer tangled up in the net and half into tear it to retrieve my Luer causing holes in net otherwise an absolute great product for the price.

Great bait net. This is my second one. The first one last about two years and eventually the netting broke down so I ordered a second one. It fits great in rod holders and the foam handle makes a tight seal. I travel at high speeds and never have to worry about it falling or bouncing out of the rod holder. The first one might have lasted longer if I didn’t let it blow in the wind while running all the time.

Product came after about a week. It is very lite, the handle is made from what I think is ABS. It does NOT have the strength, wall thickness or weight of schedule 40 PVC. So were you to say step on it on a deck I'm certain it would shatter the handle. Also the handle is loose and comes out of the head fitting without manipulation and will require some glue. The head WILL NOT FLOAT without the handle. I purchased for a Hobie kayak small bait well so none of those issues really impacted me as a deal breaker. In my case it was the size. Typically 1" makes no difference. In this case it does. Its advertised as 8"x9"x20". see photos its actually 9"x9"x20", which is fine. But, it aint gonna fit that Hobie well. Its going back. Now Put your own dowl handle on it or don't step on it and have your glue ready, you may still be satisfied, for $25 I'm not. I don't mind a little McGyver, but if you make it disposable price it disposable and make the size as advertised. Good luck.

Net is high quality and well made. My only issue is water seems to be getting in the handle somewhere, and I can't get it out. May not remain floating if more water gets in.

Its a good little net but the head isn't fastened just pushed on. I drove a small screw into it and solved it but it is an oversight.

Now this is a net... Yes it big, construction is excellent, will work great with my new 19 qt. aerated minnow cooler. Yes it was bigger than expected, but after thinking about it when used in my boat and 2 people fishing it should be great. It's a very good minnow net, may be a little bigger than planned but as far as minnow nets I've never seen one so well constructed. I'm keeping it, and happy to do it. If I need a smaller one I'll get one but this one will work.

Just ordered up and received the Promar LN-410 Baitwell Net. Mine flew off and was in the need of a new one. I figured, for $10.99 you can't beat that.Right out of the box I was impressed. Nice sturdy construction that felt good overall. The net portion is nice and wide for some of the larger live bait we have on the west coast. It has a nice long handle design to allow you to reach deep into your live well should you have a need to get down to the bottom.Overall, very nice net at a great price.

I hate to admit that I did a lot of research on something as simple as buying a bait net. I wasn't wanting it to get bait out of a tank but to scoop up the shad that come and circle my fishing light. It performs better than expected and if the shad are circling the light in big numbers one swoop will generally get me 5 to 10 shad. It is very well made and should last for years. The mesh is wide enough so there isn't much water resistance swooping it through the water which is important as shad can move really fast when they see a threat. And it really does float. I know because I have had it slip out of my hands a couple of times. The handle is long enough that I can get the net down under some circling shad and swoop them up with no problem. I'd say for my intended purpose this is the best available.
