  • Scrub each filter under cold running water without allowing water to go inside the blue stem. After scrubbing your filters, cycle 3 batches of water through them and dump the water. Start drinking your water on the fourth cycle for the best taste.

  • Allow your filter elements to dry out, then wrap them in a cloth and store them in a safe place. If you store filter(s) inside the gravity system, make sure they have ample padding to prevent breakage.

  • We recommend cleaning your systems and filters at least once a month.

  • If you are not using your filters or system for more than 4–7 days, drain the water and air-dry the filters. Wrap the filters in a terry cloth towel and store them in a cool, dry place. Do NOT put them in a plastic bag or any enclosed container.

  • Each ProOne G2.0 filter has a general lifespan of up to 6 months with daily use. Using more filters at a time will increase their lifespan and flow rate at the same time. Using 3 filters at a time will provide the fastest flow rate.

Works great, my only recommendation is to buy additional filters so your water is available much faster. With one filter the wait time is pretty long. We have a family of 5 and we even use the filtered water for our 2 dogs so one filter wasn’t working for us. With 3 filters there is always water available. Taste good to us.

The lab results speak for themselves. This is a good option

I may have just been unlucky. After "conditioning" my first filter as instructed, it took around 48 hours for the top water to filter down to about 1 inches of water. The top water has yet to fully filter where top bucket is fully emptied. I called customer service and after half hour wait they confirmed they would send replacement filters. 14 days now later, no filters. Tried to call again and after waiting for an hour I've hung up.The filtered water is great and the spigot and product itself are as expected. The filters however seem to be hit or miss on if they are fully functional.Hoping ProOne service maybe sees this and rectifies my issue. If so, will adjust my rating.UPDATE: Attempting to call again and now cannot even get through to be put on hold. Tried contacting via email from their website but my confidence I will get my issue rectified is declining and I am considering returning the whole thing.

Absolutely the BEST investment I’ve made in a while!! We have a vacation house that has terrible water, and we had to buy bottled water constantly. With this, we fill up mason jars for the fridge to keep cold, and just use the tap water to fill it up. The water tastes better than bottled!! My sister has one too, and they are well worth the money!!!!

Ive been pretty happy with this purchase! There were a few issues in the beginning with leaking and slow filtering, but it has been great since then (1.5 years). I wish the filters were not so expensive, but I am happy with the clean water taste. Thankfully 1 filter lasts me about 9 months.

This is a wonderful, simple mechanical water filter that lasts and doesn't come with high maintenance costs. Coming from an Aquatru (that somehow stopped working after a few months, even after I had replaced every single part), I appreciate the better value and simpler setup. The water comes out tasting pretty good, too. Overall, we prefer the Proone Big+ to the Aquatru. Here's what you should know, though:1. The system comes with up to three filters (configurable during purchase). The tank is always the same, the point of the filters is that you'll get filtered water at greater speed. How many filters should you start with, you ask? It depends on your family size and consumption. But it's absolutely possible to just start with one, then buy more later if needed.2. Know that this filtration system is slow. We're using a one-filter setup, and you're getting roughly one drop of water per second and filter. We're a family of seven and get all of our drinking water and most cooking water from this. I'm considering getting a second filter, but for now, we're taken care of. In order to make it work with one filter, we're ignoring the manufacturer recommendation to let the top tank empty into the bottom tank completely before refilling. The only purpose of this recommendation is to avoid overflows of the clean water tank. We haven't had any spills so far, but getting enough filtered water requires regular monitoring of the water levels in both tanks. Without the optional transparent spigot, this requires picking up the tap water tank a few times a day to check both levels. Plus, you have to remember fill up the tank at night to give the system time to filter enough water for the next morning over night. Nevertheless, considering how slowly this filter works, it is really working surprisingly well for us.3. Before you buy the Big+, consider your tap water supply and the system's height. This filtration system just may not work in some kitchens or settings. It's about 2 feet tall, so it may not fit on some countertops, and it ideally needs its own permanent place in the kitchen (near the sink). And consider how you're going to refill it. You can't just take the tap water tank to the sink like a bucket, because it would drip and you might get the bottom dirty (which is the top of the clean water tank). Rather, you have to fill the system from the top. This works best when your system is located by the sink and you have the kind of faucet that can be extended by 2 feet. In our kitchen, the Big+ is sitting 10 ft from the sink, and we're using large thermos bottles or cook pots to refill it. Which is working fine for our purposes, but it's something you should be aware of.

UPDATE - I returned this and bought a new one directly from the manufacturer with three, 9 inch filters. It takes about three hours to filter a full container now. I don’t think that my previous filter was defective, I think it just takes about 12 hours to cycle through if you are working with just one 7 inch filter. Anyways, I do love this filter, and I hope this information is helpful because there is very little information about flow rates for this filter set up.I did a LOT of research before buying this and it seems like a great water filter system, and the water tastes pretty good. The problem I have is the 7" filter that it comes with is extremely slow. According to the user manual that it comes with, one 7" filter should filter one cycle of water in 4 hours. I cleaned the filter as directed. This is also consistent with other reviewers online. Mine is taking over 12 hours to cycle through, so perhaps I have a defective filter as who knows how long this system has been chilling at the Amazon warehouse. I am returning this and will buy the 3 filter system directly from the manufacturer, hopefully it works better that way.
